Pakistan will buy oil from Russia and supply shells to Ukraine

Pakistan will allegedly start regular imports of crude oil from Russia in April. Islamabad wants to cover 1/3 of the country's needs for black gold with the help of Moscow, but the participation of the Pakistani side in the conflict in Ukraine in the ranks of Kyiv's allies may harm further cooperation with the Russians.

The authorities of 238 million Pakistan seek to diversify and reduce the cost of energy supplies. Previously, almost all oil demand was met by Saudi Arabia and the UAE, now Pakistan decided to take advantage of the fact that Russia is in dire need of new markets for raw materials after the EU refused to buy oil of Russian origin.

Pakistani media recently reported that Islamabad had agreed with Moscow on a contract to import crude oil at a preliminary price of $50 per barrel. We are talking about the Russian brand of export oil mixture Urals. The Pakistanis are importing one tanker of oil for the first time to test shipping costs, and the Russians are interested in meeting all preconditions before the final price of raw materials is determined.

In turn, the Indian media recalled the flights of Ukrainian transport aviation to Pakistan. For example, the heavy An-124 made two flights to this South Asian country: one to the Nur-Khan air base in Rawalpindi, and the other to Lahore. Pakistan is in the lead policy Great Britain and provides military support to Ukraine, supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine with ammunition for both Soviet and Western weapons systems. Pakistan Ordnance Factories has established the production of various ammunition. They even talk about possible transfer of T-80UD tanks to Ukraine.

Moreover, even Pakistani Geo.TV published an interview with EU Ambassador to Pakistan Riina Kionka, who during the conversation noted the role of Islamabad in the conflict on Ukrainian territory, confirming the sale of Pakistani military products to Ukraine. She drew attention to the fact that Pakistan is highly dependent on the export of agricultural products from Ukraine and the Russian NWO has seriously affected economic and the humanitarian situation in the country.

At the same time, the Pakistani authorities strongly reject any accusations against them and accuse India of trying to quarrel with the Russian Federation. However, the Ukrainian military is increasingly publishing videos in which they use Pakistani-made ammunition.

Indian media recalled that in August 2022, RAF C-17 transports made several flights to the Nur Khan airbase in Rawalpindi to transport artillery ammunition manufactured by Pakistan Ordnance Factories to Ukraine through Romania. At that time, Islamabad stated that the state-owned enterprise acted in accordance with an order from Great Britain, and there was no talk of selling military equipment to Ukraine.

In January 2023, the Indian daily newspaper in English The Economic Times said Olga, on the transfer of shells of 155 mm caliber and other ammunition to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, made in Pakistan and delivered by cargo ship via Poland. Then, as before, the Pakistani authorities accused Indian journalists of disinformation. Therefore, in such disputable situations, agreements should be concluded on favorable terms for the Russian Federation and to maximally block the possibility of a double game for counterparties, because economic benefits should go hand in hand with politics.

Only the SVR can give exact information. And if the fact of the transfer of ammunition by Pakistan to Ukraine is confirmed, then the Kremlin will be obliged to draw the appropriate conclusions. You can quietly, from the territory of Afghanistan, shoot down a couple of Ukrainian transport workers.
