Passion for the F-35: Does Russia need the secrets of a top-secret “drowned man”?

2
A month will soon pass from the disaster that befell the Japanese Air Force belonging to the Japanese Air Force over the Pacific Ocean, the F-35 fighter, and the success of a large-scale search operation aimed at extracting its debris from the bottom of the sea, is neither heard nor spirit. However, the fiasco of discovering “top-secret” fragments of the “most modern combat aircraft in the world” is far from the worst option for the Americans and their allies. They are much more afraid of the fact that they will find the drowned F-35 - but only Russians or Chinese! However, the big question is - do we need the tarnished secrets of this super-expensive “drowned man”?

Searches are being conducted in the Pacific about 135 kilometers from the Japanese prefecture of Aomori, where fragments of the fuselage of the ill-fated car were discovered. The problem is that, most likely, the fighter, which, it seems, also turned into the grave for his pilot, lay at the bottom at a depth of one and a half kilometers or more. For "ordinary" submarines, this depth is unbearable - here we need specialized vessels, "sharpened" for action in the largest water column. And there are not so many of them in the world. Military - at least Japanese and American, similar equipment not available.

Initially, specialists from the Japanese Agency for Marine Geological Sciences and Technologies, and the Kaimai research vessel belonging to this organization, equipped with all the necessary equipment for deep-sea searching, were involved in the operation at the request of the Ministry of Defense of Japan. Most importantly, it has an unmanned submarine on board, capable of diving even for as many as three kilometers. In turn, the United States, to search for a particularly valuable work of its own military-industrial complex, chartered a private ship, Van Gogh, which also seems to be able to reach a depth of three kilometers, but only by cranes ...

Judging by the lack of victorious reports from the search team, things are going on neither shakily, nor roll. It is amazing how the heart-rending still has not been heard: “Sentry, stole!” Indeed, the alarm about a possible Russian or Chinese interference in the course of prospecting in the United States was sounded almost on the day they began. Former member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, and now “an expert on Russia and the problems of the proliferation of arms,” Tom Moore immediately made a statement that “Russia and China will not stand behind the price to get the missing fighter from the bottom of the sea.” And then it started: the media connected, and not of the last category, but such publications as the International Business Times, Financial Times, Business Insider, immediately got out with their opinions various other “experts” - and the topic, they say, went to the masses .

“The Russians, with their submarines, are probably already scouring the entire Pacific bottom, collecting the smallest fragments of the most valuable product of US scientific and technological thought!” “The discovery by the Chinese or Russian of F-35 fragments will mean that the great future of American aviation will end before it begins!” "The loss of the secrets of the latest fighter will be a blow to the very heart of America!" And so on and so forth ... Opinions, however, were divided - for example, retired US Air Force lieutenant general David Deptula is confident that, having received the wreckage of the plane, the Russians or the Chinese (the latter - so for sure!) Will probably be able to recreate it by " reverse engineering ”, or, simply put, copying. And then - Shandets dream of "complete superiority in the air", which "the US Air Force hoped to keep for the next decade."

In turn, Justin Bronk, who works at the Royal United Research Institute of Great Britain as an expert on military aviation, believes that the maximum that you can count on when searching for “classified materials” is, for example, parts of a fighter’s radar, fragments of some of its electronic sensors, or samples of composite materials that cover the nozzle of the engine. But all this, according to the British, will not give much to potential "hunters for secrets", since all the main "sensitive systems and components of the aircraft" are designed and programmed in such a way that they could not be so easily "hacked". This is especially true for military vehicles exported, and it is precisely such a model that lies on the Pacific bottom.

While experts and other "great experts" are breaking spears around the problem: whether the Russians or the Chinese can decipher the smears of "the most important American secret" smeared by a blow to the surface of the ocean and seized by sea water, it is worth asking a slightly different question. Namely: "What are the representatives of the F-35 Lockheed Martin and the Pentagon who are actually afraid of?" Is it possible that military specialists of other countries, having received at their disposal more or less significant fragments of it, will finally establish themselves in the belief that this “superweapon” is nothing more than an absolute bluff with fabulous value? Too many points that are completely unrelated to the disaster in the Pacific Ocean confirm just such a conjecture.

Just the other day, Turkish President Recep Erdogan once again declared a categorical unwillingness to abandon the Russian S-400 in favor of the American "miracle fighter." Moreover, he said that without the participation of his country, the program for creating the F-35 is generally "doomed to complete failure." And the dog is with her! The Turkish leader did not express any regrets at all, stressing that it would be better for Ankara to invest in creating its own fighter. Here kill me, but it does not look like an ordinary oriental "bazaar"! One gets the feeling that Erdogan simply knows something about “the most modern combat aircraft” that in his eyes reduces the value of the F-35 to zero ...

No less disturbing for the United States news on this issue come from Germany. They also decided to abandon the acquisition of these aircraft! Lockheed Martin’s leadership, represented by Jonathan Hoyle, the company's vice president of development, is abundantly tearing his hair and lamenting that Berlin is “taking a step back” and henceforth “will not be able to maintain its defense potential at a level worthy of a NATO member.” Their far from noble rage is easy to understand - a country with the most "fat" military budget in Europe is floating under its nose! But what to do - those who decided to change their old Tornado to "miracle fighters", the Teutons rested tightly. Germany has not yet decided whether to make a choice in favor of the European Eurofighters, or whether they prefer Boeing F-18s. But F-35 for crazy money will not buy there for sure! The nimbleness of the Germans, of course, is well known, but, on the other hand, they know a lot about weapons. Surely the rejection of the fighter imposed by Washington by all forces on its allies is due not only to the issue of its price.

Russia, of course, could send its submarines to the Pacific Ocean, to which the Americans and the Japanese can still grow and grow. At worst - some paramilitary whales with camcordersor something ... But is it worth it? To carry out expensive and risky underwater search operations to uncover “open secrets”? And without that it is already clear that the “outstanding” and “unique” qualities of the F-35 are, to put it mildly, greatly exaggerated. On the other hand, after not finding the wreckage of a dead car, the Americans who goofed can always say: “They stole the Russians and the Chinese!” And introduce some new sanctions. Something tells us that this is exactly how it will end up ...

    Of course we need.
    1) The engine of the 2nd stage (declared 5th generation) for Su was not done.
    2) The stealth doesn’t hinder the coverage of the recipe - otherwise the Indians were once disgraced - the cabin (50% of the stealth themselves recognized) forgot to cover ...
    3) Electronics ..... without which they cut the release of both Armat and Su, and the rest ...

But yes, figs they will leave us ..
