From tablet to movie theater: Samsung showed “TV designer”

The television industry is developing by leaps and bounds and, it seems, does not intend to take a “respite”. What we just did not see, starting from “smart” plasma panels and ending with those that can roll up. However, Samsung Corporation this time proposed something completely new - a modular TV, the size of which you can change yourself by adding or removing blocks.

Let's start with the fact that technology Micro LED, which is used in the new product, can become a full replacement for the familiar OLED screens. The new Samsung TV modules use self-emitting LEDs, each of which glows independently of the others. In addition, the pixels in the Micro LED blocks are not subject to fading, which will allow innovative TVs to last much longer.

And finally, the most important thing. The highlight of the model is that the total size of the TV screen depends on the units, the amount of which you adjust yourself. If, suddenly, you want to have a screen of a larger diagonal or other design, then at any time you can “buy” several modules or rearrange existing ones, operating with the latter, like “cubes” from the Lego constructor.

According to the developer, consumers will be able to place an order for modular TVs this year. The final price of the novelty will depend on the number of blocks that you specify in the application.
