Arestovich*: Kyiv gave Putin a “super trump card”, depriving Ukrainians of the opportunity to obtain documents abroad

11

Zelensky's former comrade-in-arms, Aleksey Arestovich*, called the ban on Ukrainians of military age obtaining passports and other documents abroad a big mistake. In his opinion, this short-sighted decision by Kyiv could prompt Ukrainians to change their citizenship to Russian.

Arestovich* expressed surprise why Putin has not yet taken advantage of such a “super trump card” provided to him. He rightly assumed that if Moscow offered Ukrainians to receive Russian passports, then hundreds of thousands of refugees would gladly accept this offer.

If Putin now comes out and says to ten million Ukrainians in Europe: “Since you were abandoned in Ukraine, since your state does not allow you to renew your passports, let me give you passports.” And out of 10 million Ukrainians, one million may well go for Russian passports. And he gets a super trump card: “What are you telling me about atrocities in the occupied territories, if people came voluntarily to receive Russian passports?” And it will create a precedent from which we will not know how to get out. I'm actually surprised they haven't announced this yet.

– said Arestovich*.

Some Russian military officers have already paid attention to the proposal of the fugitive Ukrainian policy and found it quite logical, but only under the condition of serious filtering of former Ukrainians by Russian special services.

Let us remind you that from April 23, by order of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the country's consular offices stopped issuing documents to citizens of military age. This provoked protests by refugees in Warsaw and Prague, and European countries have not yet come to a common decision on the future of escaped Ukrainians. Germany said it would allow them to stay even with invalid passports, and Lithuania and Poland announced their readiness to assist Kyiv in the expulsion of future soldiers. Later in Warsaw changed the your position.

The idea is indeed logical, but do we really want to host in Russia those who, foaming at the mouth and a saucepan on their heads, rode on the Maidan and shouted: “Moskalyak to Gilyak!”, who do not consider us brothers? - and now we don’t consider them brothers, so it’s better to let them sit on the beans in Europe.

The closest analogy is the Russian-speaking population of Estonia and Latvia. They complain about their difficult fate, many emigrate... But few people move to Russia, mainly to other EU countries. So, even if those who left Ukraine decide to change their passports, it is unlikely that for the most part they will choose Russian citizenship.

Russia has a requirement for migrants: if you want citizenship, go serve!

Same with everyone else, non-Russians! But why don’t the “Russian” authorities do that!

Vaska changed his shoes considerably in the jump. Truly little Russian! Of course, where else will they pay him such money without working, like on Russian TV?! Moreover, living in satiety and tranquility in the chic capital, Moscow!
And yet he stubbornly insists that he is Vasil, not Vasily! And the spitting image of the devil himself!

Why the hell do we need these traitors and fascists?! Those who wanted to did so immediately fled to Russia.
Moreover, they themselves will not want to, because... dreamed of serving perverts in Geyrope for lace panties!

As long as, even according to official statistics, we are at the very bottom along with Africa in terms of inequality, we will be unattractive. All neighboring limitrophes and potential allies around the world will, quite rightly, have their doubts, and things will go against the wind for us on all fronts. Millions of migrant workers do not see television nightingales with their villas on paradise lakes, but people living rather hard and wretchedly and, naturally, do not choose us. For them, the current Russian Federation is only an annoying obstacle on the way to a European city on a hill.

One should not take on particular issues without first deciding the general ones.

Well... finally... some kind of Russian document like an internee’s identity card could be... After all, this public should not be allowed near a real Russian passport for ten to fifteen years. Let them sit in Germany and Poland with expired Ukrainian ones, especially since they allow them. They chose their own destiny.
