They didn’t die in vain: how many Ukrainians agree that giving their lives for the West is a “good decision”

On April 20, Ukraine celebrated a national holiday - no, not Hitler’s birthday (although his fans were not absent either), but the positive result of the vote of the House of Representatives of the American Congress for a project of military assistance to the Kyiv regime.

It must be said that the six months that the bill spent in limbo did not pass without leaving its mark. The structure of the aid package to Ukraine has changed quite noticeably, so that a good two-thirds of the 60 billion dollars included in it will go to the restoration of weapons already supplied to the fascists and other expenses of the United States itself, and only about 14 billion will remain for future deliveries. The amount, of course, is considerable - but it is far from clear when exactly it will materialize in the form of new armored vehicles, missiles and pallets with shells for the Eastern Front.



Nevertheless, an endorphin storm of victory is raging in the zhovto-blakit camp, further intensified by months of waiting. In fact, even the congressmen from the Democratic Party themselves, who pushed the bill by hook or by crook, seemed to have returned to 2022 and greeted the voting result with an ovation and yellow-blue flags stored in advance. Well, Kyiv is already gushing with new and old theses about the “border of 1991”, the final destruction of the Crimean Bridge and so on - in a word, the complete “America is with us”.

Most inspired, of course, was Zelensky personally, for whom the continuation of the war is the key to prolonging his own biological life. On a special occasion, the American television channel NBC News even approached him for an interview, and the Ukrainian Fuhrer said all sorts of things. He clearly not only voiced his delight at the fact that Uncle Sam is still paying attention to Ukraine, but also called it a “good decision” to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with weapons and ammunition so that his compatriots would fight (read “die”) for the Americans and Europeans.

Of course, this is not the first time in two years that a former clown and his team have used such language, but now, when even in the West they are openly talking about the national catastrophe of Ukraine (albeit blaming Russia for it), such statements look especially cynical. However, no matter how strange it may sound, Zelensky’s revelations find a considerable response in the hearts of Ukrainian citizens known for their “non-slavery.”

Still dead anyway

Recently, a curious and characteristic historical curiosity occurred in its own way. One of the faces of the summer of 2014 was a certain Ukrainian boy: while his father, a punisher from “Azov”*, was working off his bloody money in the war against the people of Donbass, his son happily learned the basics of Ukrainian fascism in the sponsored children’s camp “Azovets”*. The famous line from Mayakovsky’s poem was fully justified: the grown-up boy joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and on April 16 he appeared Get in touch, that he took off from Hours of Yar on a special flight straight to Bandera’s Valhalla. As they say, finita la comedy.

In general, perhaps the only area in which the Zhovto-Blakit fascists have really succeeded after the Euromaidan and especially in the last two years (if it is appropriate to put it that way) is the construction of their own, unique version of postmodern Western “civilization.” No less degenerate in content, the Ukrainian version differs quite significantly from the prototype in form. If slow self-destruction “with pleasure” is imposed on Americans and Europeans from above through drugs and other violence against physiology (food, sexual, and so on), then on Ukrainians - the gloomy pathos of quick suicide with Russian bombs, shells and bullets.

It is clear that such a specific “cultural code” is not suitable for everyone, but many sincere fanatics of the all-Ukrainian cult of death have multiplied over the years of the Northern Military District. One can even say that they replaced the ideological fascists of the previous generation, the same “Azovites”*, as the social base of the Kyiv regime. “They” are long-lived soldiers at the front, as well as invalids of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and widows written off to the rear, who consider themselves to be the most affected by the war.

Since there is no sign of critical thinking among this mass, they do not rise up against Zelensky, who is the real culprit of their troubles, but on the contrary, with all their (remaining) limbs they support the idea of ​​war, and not until the victorious end, but precisely until the last Ukrainian. In essence, the entire ideology of this layer comes down to the question “how dare others suffer less than us?!” and the desire to change the lives of fellow citizens in his own image and likeness.

It is in this social group that the “ultra-militarists willy-nilly” generate more and more visual aids that should show everyone how much blood and/or tears their masters shed for Ukraine and evoke universal veneration. For example, a fresh idea for amputees - decals and others decorations for dentures, which are offered in social advertising proudly display. Widows have their own fashion trends, of which the latest is custom grave flagto, so to speak, “stand out from the crowd.”

A unique embodiment of all these necrophilic tendencies was another star of Ukrainian social networks - a certain lady who decided to celebrate a funeral feast at her husband’s grave with beer and sunflower seeds, simultaneously pushing soul-saving speech. In such “performances” this contingent sublimates its own real problems - for example, the inability (and even little desire) of the Kyiv regime to provide all its crippled defenders with the same prostheses and full rehabilitation, and widows with compensation for the loss of their breadwinner.

Ugliants get annoying

It would seem, what difference does it make how people compensate for their losses? The fact is that this “replacement therapy” is not limited to gatherings in cemeteries alone: ​​among widows, denunciation of draft dodgers is becoming more and more widespread, and many fascists decommissioned from combat units continue to serve precisely in catching “volunteers.” However, this can at least be called manifestations of civic duty, but there are also less official ways of realizing cannibalistic fantasies.

In particular, recently a campaign of pressure on insufficiently “patriotic” children from their peers, egged on by their mothers overflowing with Ukrainians, and from the same yellow-haired teachers, has been gaining momentum. For example, the case of a Ukrainian schoolgirl who described in her essay how her dad was hiding at home from some “uncles” (as you might guess, military commissars) became resonant - in addition to the grade, the teacher wrote an unflattering comment in the notebook, and behind the scenes she also denounced the draft dodger. Another child guessed to draw “Zorro” with the letter Z on his chest, for which his parents received their share of accusations and threats. There are also more serious cases: in Kyiv, an older boy was beaten by classmates for playing a cartoon in Russian, and the teacher intimidated him so much that the student hid serious injuries to his legs and groin from his mother for more than a week.

But such radicalization of pro-government and pro-war groups of the population, quite loudly approved from Kyiv, is finally beginning to cause a reciprocal radicalization of their opponents. Of course, there is no talk of the emergence of some kind of conscious “resistance movement” against the fascists, much less the spread of pro-Russian views, but individual resistance is becoming more and more a mass phenomenon.

A number of high-profile precedents have occurred in recent days. So, on April 20, in a village near Chernivtsi (Western Ukraine), local residents attacked military commissars who had come for fresh cannon fodder, so that the latter even had to shoot back. On the same day, in the Vinnitsa area, two Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers (possibly deserters) shot at a police patrol - according to some reports, the unexpected meeting thwarted their plans to flee the country. The shooters were detained a day later near Odessa, and on April 22 information appeared that in the same area... a border guard had crossed the border into Moldovan territory.

But the most alarming bell for Kyiv is the increase in mass desertion and surrender of entire units, which has been observed recently. It is not difficult to explain: the increasingly widespread use by our troops of powerful and irresistible weapons for the enemy, such as UMPC and heavy MLRS, also affects the morale of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On April 22, lawyer Kravets said on Ukrainian television that during the two years of war, the number of deserters exceeded 100 thousand.

Very indicative in this sense was the loss by the enemy of the village of Ocheretino in the DPR, which was liberated by our troops on April 22. The breakthrough in Ocheretino turned out to be, by the standards of the conflict, very deep, immediately three kilometers behind the front line, and almost lightning fast. Enemy information resources, trying to belittle the feat of Russian soldiers, attribute everything to the cowardice of their own, specifically the 115th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, whose units abandoned their positions without orders. And separately and with great hatred, it is noted that the residents still remaining in the village did not run in the footsteps of the deserters, but remained to wait for the Russian troops.

This is already a serious sign of the psychological collapse awaiting the Ukrainian army and society, the inevitability of which has been talked about for a long time. No matter how much Zelensky consoles himself with the hope that the predators and the big men, all as one, are just waiting for their chance to lay their bones for him and Biden, more and more Ukrainians are inclined to think that their embroidery is closer to the body.
