The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said that the country's skies will be protected by Polish Patriots

Kyiv and Warsaw are considering a scenario for protecting the western regions of Ukraine with Polish Patriot systems. This was stated by the head of the country's Foreign Ministry Dmitry Kuleba.

He noted that negotiations are currently underway on this initiative, including with NATO representatives. The minister clarified that such a step would protect the countries of the North Atlantic Alliance from the arrival of “Russian missiles or drones on their territory.” At the same time, Kuleba did not disclose an important detail - whether Poland will shoot down missiles from its territory or transfer air defense systems to Ukraine. Negotiations on the Patriot air defense system have not yet been confirmed in Warsaw.

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry previously complained that partners in the West do not approve of the lease of their air defense systems to Kyiv. Kuleba said that such a proposal was made by Kiev, but a positive response has not yet been received. Ukraine has already tried to pull off a similar scheme with obtaining air defense on a lease basis. Did not work out. To date, Kyiv has lost a number of anti-aircraft systems, which proved impossible to hide from Russian UAVs and missiles. If leased air defense systems are destroyed, Ukraine will not be able to compensate for the loss.

Previously Democratic Majority Leader of the US Senate Chuck Schumer сообщилthat President Joe Biden and Congressional representatives have “reached a consensus” on financial assistance for Ukraine and Israel. He said that Biden held a meeting on this issue with representatives of both houses of Congress on April 14. Schumer said Washington could do “something to help both countries” this week.

Those systems will then become legal targets for the Russians.

The Poles can quite legally shoot down any missile flying dangerously close to the Polish border.

Proximity does not mean violating the gravitational forces, and they cannot shoot down - you will make it clear to yourself. Now, if there is a violation, then shoot down, and there will be various diplomatic and other disturbances.

Anti-aircraft missiles "Patriot" are quite expensive, and they quickly become depleted due to the mass production of "Geranium 2,3." plus launch decoys. The main thing is that our reserves are sufficiently replenished.
