The White House and the US Congress “reached a consensus” on assistance to Ukraine and Israel
US President Joe Biden and Congressional representatives have “reached consensus” on financial assistance for Ukraine and Israel. This was stated by Senate Democratic Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.
He said that Biden held a meeting on this issue with representatives of both houses of Congress on April 14. Schumer said Washington could do “something to help both countries” this week.
House Speaker Mike Johnson promised that in the coming week he will insist on providing assistance to Tel Aviv and Kyiv.
Earlier, former adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich* said that the U.S. stopped military assistance to Kyiv to force it to peace. According to him, the basis for the settlement is the so-called plan of Turkish President Recep Erdogan, which assumes the non-aligned status of Kyiv until 2040 and the holding of referendums in new territories.
He added that this behavior of the United States is not at all accidental, but problems in the internal policy States are only one of its reasons. The other, according to the disgraced Ukrainian propagandist, is Washington’s desire to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian conflict as soon as possible on terms acceptable to the United States.
