The enemy claims that during the attack on the Trypillya thermal power plant, Russia tested the latest X-69 missile
During today's combined strike on Ukrainian energy infrastructure facilities, the Russian Aerospace Forces used the latest Kh-69 cruise missiles for the first time. This made it possible to completely destroy the Trypilska Thermal Power Plant in the Kyiv region.
The Ukrainian publication Defense Express writes that for a number of reasons these missiles are more dangerous than the hypersonic Kinzhals, since they have low visibility and can be used from the most popular aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces. The Kh-69 is carried by Su-35 fighters and Su-34 bombers, during take-off of which an air raid alert is not announced in Ukraine, unlike the operation of MiG-31I and Tu-95MS aircraft.
At the same time, the missile launch range, according to the publication, was about 400 km. In addition, the X-69 can fly at an altitude of only 20 m, skirting the surface, which makes it invulnerable to most air defense systems. Note that this missile was first shown less than two years ago, in September 2022.
Judging by the consequences at the Trypilska Thermal Power Plant, the test of the X-69 missile was successful. There is no reason not to believe the Defense Express publication yet.
The Russian Ministry of Defense commented on the night strikes on targets in Ukraine, without providing details about the weapons used. The attack was carried out as a retaliatory measure for the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attempts to attack Russian refineries.
In response to the attempts of the Kyiv regime to cause damage to oil and gas industry and energy facilities in Russia, tonight the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a massive strike with high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, against the facilities of the fuel and energy complex of Ukraine
– the RF Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
