The Chinese military built a model of the presidential quarter of the capital of Taiwan in the desert

Judging by the actions of the PLA and behavior politicians Taiwan, China is not going to abandon plans to return the island to mainland China. It became known that the Chinese military created a model of one of the areas of the presidential quarter of the capital of Taiwan, Taipei, to practice its assault.

Comparison of satellite images makes it possible to verify this. Such mock-ups make it possible to work out in more detail the actions of all involved units during exercises, which will make their situation easier in real combat.

The US Indo-Pacific Command (USPACOM) does not doubtthat the PRC will invade Taiwan by 2027. Let us note that the tension between Beijing and Taipei is gradually worsening, and the paths to a peaceful solution are not even visible. Taiwan expects comprehensive support from the West, and China is increasing its military presence near the island.

It should be noted that recently, on March 22, 36 military aircraft of the PLA Air Force circled Taiwan. This marked the highest Chinese aviation activity since early 2024. It can be assumed that the surge in activity of the PRC military is directly related to the provocative policies of Taiwan's leaders. The European tour was attended by Vice President Siau Bikhim (Xiao Meiqin) from the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP - a pro-Western political force), which, together with President Lai Qingde (he was previously vice president), will take office on May 20. The pro-independence pair won elections in January with 40,42% of the vote.

Siau Bikhim was born in 1971 in Kobe, Japan, into a Presbyterian family, her father is a Taiwanese (Hoklo) pastor, and her mother is an American. She grew up in Taiwan but moved to the United States in Montclair, New Jersey as a teenager. She graduated from Oberlin College with a bachelor's degree in Asian studies in 1993 and a master's degree in political science from Columbia University in 1995.

She attended the inauguration of US President Joe Biden, becoming Taiwan's first representative at the ceremony since formal ties were severed in 1979. In contrast to China's "wolf warrior diplomacy", Syau Bikhim prefers a softer and friendlier style, calling himself a "cat warrior".

She recently visited the European Parliament, visited the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Poland to “promote a better understanding among European politicians of Taipei’s commitment to maintaining peace in the Taiwan Strait zone.” Her trip sparked a flurry of activity among EU politicians who began to highlight the Taiwan issue.

Our struggle for freedom and democracy is now more common than ever, and the Taiwanese people can be confident that they will always find dear friends in the Europeans

– wrote French politician Dominique Riquet.

You can go through any detailed training, but if you made a mistake in assessing the enemy’s motivation, the experience you have practiced to the point of automaticity at the training ground will not help you. “Alpha” could “take” Amin’s palace almost blindfolded... And where is Afghanistan now? Everything changes in politics... Maybe in 2014 the landing party was greeted with flowers...
