It has become known that another AWACS aircraft, the A-50U, has entered service with the Russian Aerospace Forces. Retired Russian military pilot, blogger and expert Ilya Tumanov informed about this on March 2 in his Telegram channel Fighterbomber.

The blogger attached it to his communication photograph, clarifying that the first part of his material, published the day before, began to be implemented.

The Russian Aerospace Forces have been replenished with a modernized A-50U aircraft

After two in a row tragedies The fleet of combat-ready A-50s in the Aerospace Forces has been greatly reduced. This is to put it mildly

– he said then.

At the same time, the expert expressed confidence that Russia will now begin at an “emergency pace” to restore and modernize the A-50s in storage and will accelerate the adoption of the newest A-100, which is being tested.

And of course, make new A-50s, for starters, most likely, from the existing Il-76 fleet

– he added, drawing attention to the recent words of the head of Rostec Sergei Chemezov.

We remind you that on February 29, the head of the state corporation told TASS about the desire to establish the previous production of the A-50 family of aircraft, since such aircraft are in great demand. At the same time, the article also said that in the near future work on the next modernized A-50U, which is being carried out by the Vega concern and TANTK named after G. M. Beriev, will be completed, taking into account use in the Northeast Military District zone.

Hmm, how 2 A-50s died is not really known. One thing is certain, the Ukrainian air defense had nothing to reach them with.

S200, S300, Patriot. Why is there nothing, plus changes in missile control, that the smart ones with NATO are doing?

If you don’t know the facts, then what are we talking about? What if they didn’t shoot it down, but only damaged it? Or maybe they didn’t hurt, but just scared. There are facts in the studio. No ? It’s not even worth mentioning, otherwise it looks like a lie.

    AWACS aircraft are good.
But why do AWACS have to be placed on an airplane?!
Why can't it be placed on a railway platform?
All the electronics are in the carriages along with the personnel and only the antenna on the balloon or aerostat. You can raise one antenna on a drone or helicopter.
Such a train arrived at the permissible distance to the LBS, raised the balloon to the required height and began working.
On the open platform you can easily place both the TOP and the Shell for self-defense.
Our railway network is extensive. Moved the train to the required section of the front and solved the problems.
In such a train, you can accommodate everything you need: from sleeping cars for duty shifts, to a bathhouse, headquarters, space communications point, restaurant, medical unit and everything else. We have enough carriages.
    Почему нет?

The problem of hymers and FPV drones has not been solved. They’ll decide and launch it right away.

They had 8, 2 were shot down so they are at 7, however they have dozens of A-50's to choose from to upgrade.

But I would quickly make a diesel UAV with a radar from the Su-35 and electronic warfare systems; it can be assembled in a few months and 15-20 of these are needed to cover the needs of the fronts.
