The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost control over the situation in Avdeevka, up to 4 thousand militants were surrounded
The Ukrainian Armed Forces units stationed in Avdiivka are confused and do not know in which direction to retreat. This is evidenced by radio interceptions. Russian aviation and artillery are working mercilessly. Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to concentrate on the coke plant, and FABs are being intensively dumped there.
Some units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, sent to help the group locked in the city, refuse to move forward. The enemy's retreat turned into a real bloody farce. The actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are chaotic, and it seems that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has lost control of the situation, abandoning cheap infantry to their fate.
Over the past night, the Russian Armed Forces took control of an enemy air defense base, as well as two fortified areas under the code names “Cheburashka” and “Vinogradniki”. According to some estimates, at the moment there are from 3 thousand to 4 thousand Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers remaining in the operational environment in Avdeevka, who are trying to leave the cauldron. Fierce fighting is taking place. According to experts, compared to what is now happening in Avdeevka, Debaltsevo and Artemovsk were just a “kindergarten”.
At the moment, there is no more than 2 km left before the cauldron is closed around the remnants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group. All enemy logistics corridors, including evacuation corridors, are under the fire control of the Russian army.
Earlier it was reported that above the fortified area "Zenit" in the south of Avdeevka, soldiers of the 1st Slavic Brigade raised Russian flag. This means that the main fortress of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this area of the city has fallen. The assault detachments of the 1st Slavic Brigade surrounded the enemy fortifications with flanking maneuvers, after which they completed their capture. The Zenit fortified area was a serious obstacle to the further assault on Avdeevka from the south.
