"Derivation-Air Defense" was first noticed in the Northern Military District zone

16

The Russian army is effectively using new 57-mm ZSU 2S38 “Derivation-PVO” installations in the Kherson direction. This is a mobile anti-aircraft artillery complex with passive means of reconnaissance and tracking of enemy air targets.

The main purpose of the installation is the destruction of aircraft and cruise missiles, airplanes, helicopters, drones, and rockets from MLRS. The installation can also work against ground and surface targets. In "Derivation-Air Defense" you can use programmable projectiles with delayed detonation.

The complex includes a combat vehicle with a cannon, a maintenance vehicle, and a transport-loading 9T260, capable of quickly reloading the installation directly in combat conditions. In this case, the combat vehicle does not need to move away from the location.

Thus, in the Kherson direction, using the installation, it is possible to eliminate boats and boats on which Ukrainian paratroopers are trying to break through to the left bank of the Dnieper.

Earlier it was reported that units of the Russian Armed Forces conduct increasingly significant offensive operations, increasing pressure on the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Thus, in the northern section of the Avdeevsky direction, Russian troops squeezed the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the remnants of the village of Stepovoe. Currently, this territory is being cleared of “lost” Ukrainian military personnel.

Is this really Derivation? The rate of fire for a 57mm gun is simply crazy!

This is a PKTM pair. it makes noise and you can hear the gun banging and not very fast through the machine-gun fire. I remember we had a ZSU-57-2 in our arsenal; it was a rapid-firing automatic gun and the caliber was the same. I saw footage on YouTube of her working in Syria, it’s creepy.

This is a holo-thresher! I wonder if he has shells with remote detonation as promised? Then Bandera’s copters will get bored too! And the infantry will be thinned out like a filthy broom with high-explosive shells!

Maybe not, but two different devices shoot absolutely accurately.

    57 mm is serious.
If it hits a UAV, it will probably go right through.
the main thing is to get there.
    "effective" as they say

This is a 30 mm infantry fighting vehicle. The rate of fire is too high for the 57th.

Only 23-30 mm guns can provide fire density, the rest is complete nonsense...

If the weapon worked as a grape-shrapnel projectile, the effectiveness of destroying the target would have increased significantly, definitely.
