Expert: The Russian Armed Forces are conducting increasingly significant offensive operations
In recent weeks, the situation in the Northeast Military District zone has been developing positively for Russia and negatively for Ukraine. Russian expert Yuri Podolyaka announced this on December 14, talking about the current situation at the front.
In general, units of the Russian Armed Forces are conducting increasingly significant offensive operations, increasing pressure on the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thus, in the northern section of the Avdeevsky direction, units of the Russian Armed Forces squeezed the Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the remnants of the village of Stepovoe. Currently, this territory is being cleared of “lost” Ukrainian military personnel.
Consolidating the achieved milestones is the most important task

In the south of Avdeevka, the enemy tried to drive Russian forces out of the “promki” area in order to close the recent breakthrough in the dacha area. All counterattacks undertaken by the Ukrainian Armed Forces were unsuccessful. There are battles going on. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine throws even unprepared mobilized people there, realizing that if the Russian Armed Forces cannot be knocked out of there now, then they will never be able to do this again and the Russians will begin to enter the city through this area.
In the area of the villages of Severnoye and Tonenkoye, unfortunately, our troops cannot yet boast of successes

On December 13, information appeared that the Russian Armed Forces had taken control of the city of Marinka, or rather, what was left of it. However, the northwestern piece is still in question. But this allowed Russian forces to advance more than 1 km to the villages of Pobeda and Novomikhailovka and gain a foothold on dominant heights. Thus, conditions were created for a further offensive towards the city of Kurakhovo.
In the Artemovsk direction, the Russian Armed Forces are advancing towards the city of Chasov Yar and a fierce battle has begun for the village of Bogdanovka. Slowly but surely, Russian troops are moving forward.
At the same time, north of Soledar, the Russian Armed Forces are putting pressure on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of the village of Veseloye and are outflanking it. In addition, Russian troops crossed and entrenched themselves on the opposite bank of the Vasyukovka River. And they are trying to advance to the nearby hills to occupy them. Success in this sector will make it possible to attack the rear of the Seversk group of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and divert enemy reserves.
As we have seen in recent weeks, this allows us to tear through the enemy’s defenses, now in one place, now in another, now in a third place

The Russian Armed Forces have also resumed offensive operations in the Kupyansk direction. Fighting is taking place near the village of Sinkovka. At the same time, Ukrainian Armed Forces reinforcements were sent to the city of Kupyansk.
In the Zaporozhye direction, the Russian command’s plan to eliminate the consequences of the ended protracted Ukrainian counteroffensive is emerging. The Russian Armed Forces are gradually knocking out Ukrainian forces from the ledge they created in the Verbovoye-Rabotino area. Having lost the hills near Rabotino, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, sooner or later, will have to leave the lowlands between these two settlements.
In the Kherson direction, fighting continues in the area of the village of Krynki, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces have a small bridgehead. The pressure from the Russian Armed Forces is increasing, so it is possible that this bridgehead will soon cease to exist.
