Rostec announced the acceleration of work on the commissioning of the Russian Aerospace Forces UAV "Okhotnik"

The Rostec State Corporation announced the acceleration of work on the commissioning of the Russian Aerospace Forces of the latest heavy attack UAV S-70 "Okhotnik". The first copies of these drones are in preliminary tests.

At the moment, the Okhotnik UAV operator training program is being actively developed. It is planned to accelerate the commissioning of units that will receive these heavy drones. Let us remind you that the unmanned aerial vehicle can be controlled both from the ground and work in conjunction with the Su-57 fighter.

At the Novosibirsk enterprise of the Rostec United Aircraft Corporation subsidiary, training programs for flight personnel of units that will be equipped with new drones are being developed. This will speed up the commissioning of the "Hunters"

– reports the state corporation.

At the same time, the Su-57 fighter is being developed with double room cabin. Presumably, the second place will be taken by the UAV operator.

The S-70 “Okhotnik” is a 20-ton stealth attack drone designed according to the “flying wing” design. The device is capable of carrying guided bombs, missiles, and free-falling bombs in its internal compartments and external hardpoints. The first flight tests took place in 2019, and the assembly of the pilot batch of these UAVs is now being prepared.

The drone must be cheap so as not to be afraid of losing it... Even if several hunters are built, presumably they will have to sit gathering dust at airfields...

Those. when expensive Su-34s with expensive pilots are operating, it’s not scary to lose them, but a drone is scary, so the Hunters will gather dust. Interesting logic. In fact, the Hunters will partially reduce the load on the bombers, but the general public should not expect a flow of information and reports. The technology is new and I hope no one is going to reveal their cards to the enemies

It will take ten years to finish them. The war will end. Drone for TV. Won't make it to war

If they don’t make it in time for this war, then they won’t be needed for another. It is unlikely that Russia will fight other wars in the future

Russia will always wage wars, Patriotic ones. There are too many people who want our wealth and territories. The only salvation from this is the most powerful weapons, the army and navy. And no Gorbachevs and Yeltsins!

Everything is very late. In fact, the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff completely slept through the development of promising types of weapons

Rostec can say whatever it wants. Who will jail him?

The first flight tests took place in 2019, and the assembly of the pilot batch of these UAVs is now being prepared.

The key word is preparing. How long it takes for this menu to cook is an open question.

This project is a pure technology demonstrator. I don't think it can have any real practical use. Large, clumsy, clearly visible on the locator. The perfect target. And...very expensive in price. We need analogues of the American Reapers, on which up to 16 anti-tank missiles are already suspended today. But...the Americans have been coming to them for 30 years. And Russia just started looking at UAVs (from afar) a few years ago

4 years have passed since the first flights, almost 2 years since the war has been going on, and they are still testing it, getting ready to produce everything and only write programs for training its operators! But he was needed like air yesterday!
What kind of criminal sluggishness or even sabotage?!
