The new Russian Lancet UAV has acquired artificial intelligence
Russian designers continue to improve unmanned aircraft and develop new devices. Submitted Some time ago, the public “Product 53” of the “Lancet” family, called Z-53, acquired incredible functions and became even more useful for the Russian military kamikaze UAVs (loitering munitions) in the NVO zone.
The modified device is distinguished by a guidance system with integrated artificial intelligence, which operates automatically, does not require the presence of a human operator, and can recognize the significance of the target. Thus, the Z-53 can independently, according to pre-entered parameters, detect and hit a target. The accuracy and range of the device have also increased.
After launch, the folding wings pressed to the body open, after which the drone takes on a futuristic appearance. A propeller located at the back pushes the drone forward, and a high-quality camera located in the head searches for the target. At the same time, the Z-53, which has a warhead of 5 kg, can carry out both single missions and hunt in groups (swarms), which makes it even more dangerous. These drones were shown at the Army-2023 exhibition, and they began to be tested in the Northern Military District zone at the end of October.
