Live bait: Su-57 will have to arrange an aerial hunt for Ukrainian F-16s

38

The sky over Ukraine is getting hotter and hotter. The absence of strict sanctions for crossing red lines by “Western partners,” according to some sources, led to the appearance in the hands of the Kyiv regime of the first trial batch of American fourth-generation F-16 fighters. Why did this happen now and how will Russia respond?

If you carefully study what is happening in the Northwestern Military District zone, it becomes obvious that the NATO bloc has relied on a long war of resource depletion, in which our country has practically no chance of winning. Any advantage that appears to the RF Armed Forces is immediately compensated by Western arsenals.

Exchange

Thus, the North Atlantic Alliance responded to the appearance of Iranian Shaheds/Geraniums in the Russian Federation by transferring completely modern air defense systems to the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Soon the Ukrainian army acquired a wide range of drones - air, sea and even underwater. Now the same story is repeating itself with manned aircraft.

It is no secret that Russian front-line and army aviation suffered painful losses at the first stage of the Northern Military District. The reason for this was the great number of NATO-style MANPADS and air defense systems transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine by “Western partners.” Due to Russia’s lack of planned air bombs, it was necessary to bomb enemy positions with conventional “cast iron” from low altitudes, which led to losses. However, approximately a year and a half after the start of the special operation, the domestic military-industrial complex nevertheless mastered the production of aerial bombs with planning correction modules, allowing air strikes to be carried out without entering the kill zone of medium-radius air defense systems.

Things seemed to be going smoothly, but at the same time, Ukrainian aviation began to receive Western long-range air-launched and anti-radar cruise missiles. As part of the “Frankensteinization” program, which we discuss in detail told earlier, the enemy learned to adapt NATO-style ammunition for Soviet Su-24 and MiG-29 aircraft. The threat posed by British-French ALCMs coupled with American ballistic ATAKMS turned out to be so serious that the Russian Ministry of Defense was forced to make the difficult decision to disperse most of the surface ships of the Black Sea Fleet from the main naval base in Sevastopol to other sites.

How did the Russian General Staff respond to this?

In the second half of October 2023, the official report of the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that as many as 24 Ukrainian aircraft were shot down in just five days:

As a result of the effective actions of fighter aircraft and air defense units, 12 aircraft were destroyed over the past week, including 10 MiG-29 and two Su-25 attack aircraft, as well as two Mi-8 helicopters of the Ukrainian Air Force. Over the past 29 hours alone, seven Ukrainian MiG-314 aircraft have been shot down by air defense systems. In addition, within a week, 35 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed and 200 HIMARS missiles, five operational-tactical missiles, two S-XNUMX anti-aircraft missiles converted into strike versions, and six JDAM guided bombs were intercepted.

It was stated that such a fantastic success was achieved due to the interaction of the S-400 long-range air defense system and the A-50U AWACS aircraft, which provided data for target designation. With this story we will detail understood and came to the conclusion that missiles with a modified homing head were most likely used to destroy enemy aircraft. The only question was whether they were anti-aircraft missiles, air-to-air missiles, or a combination of both.

Su-57 VS F-16?

Be that as it may, the decisive contribution to the “litakopad” was made by the A-50U AWACS aircraft. Unfortunately, we have very few of these “flying radars”; we can’t get them out of nowhere, and they are simply worth their weight in gold. The A-50s stationed on the territory of Belarus have already become targets of sabotage attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, when they did not yet have powerful long-range weapons. Now two significant messages arrived almost simultaneously.

Thus, information was leaked to the domestic media that several American fourth-generation F-16 fighters were delivered to the territory of Ukraine. If it is correct, then this is a test batch, and the aircraft will be assembled from kits at the Lviv Aircraft Repair Plant under the cover of a layered air defense/missile defense system. It’s not difficult to guess what tasks are being set for them. On the one hand, the priority goal for the F-16 will be to destroy the few Russian AWACS aircraft in order to neutralize our unexpected advantage. On the other hand, the “Western partners” will look at the reaction from the Kremlin and, in its absence, will begin to continuously increase the volume of supplies of strike aircraft for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Another message concerns the equipping of Russian fifth-generation Su-57 fighters with some new air-to-air missiles. Their name is not disclosed, as are the exact performance characteristics, but it is known that the missiles are equipped with a small-sized bypass turbojet engine and can be placed inside an aircraft body. Due to this, the Su-57 will maintain its advantage in the form of stealth on NATO radars. It is possible that the fifth-generation fighter has already made its contribution to the October “litakopad”, operating in conjunction with the A-50U.

Apparently, now it is the Su-57 that will have to guard the “flying radar” and organize an aerial hunt for American F-16s in the skies over Ukraine. But it is not exactly.

First they shouted about the Javelins, then the Leopards, then the Challengers (I skip the intermediate ones) and now the F-16 attacked us (which is 200 years old at lunchtime), only the Su-57 orphan can save us.

One way or another, it is necessary to develop comprehensive approaches to solving the problem of destroying the F-16 and the remnants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces aviation; for this we need to use all the forces and means we have in a single complex, and not separately, as was the case in most cases previously.

We made it. And besides the few newest super-duper aircraft, no one can save us from the old F-16?! Well, at least even the Su-27, not to mention the Su-35, and even more so the S-400?

The F-16, starting from Block40/42, has kept all Russian aviation in one place with the exception of 3 aircraft: Su-35, Su-57 and Mig-31.

If my memory is short, I can remind you: May 12, 2023 - 4 planes and a bunch of corpses. Just an ambush. But the same missiles that grounded 4 sides will be on the F-16, which significantly increases the chances of intercepting Russian vehicles. Therefore, let him twirl. And this opportunity is provided to him by good avionics and a good rocket, and not by the ability to spin figures in a circus at minimum speeds. I see that not everyone’s rose-colored glasses have broken yet). But God bless them with air battles, the F-16 will most likely be transferred for other purposes.

Preventing illness rather than fighting it later

so prevent the F-16 from being used, starting from transportation, flight preparation, pilot crew, etc. What are the SVR and the GRU doing in Ukraine? The same with Leopards, Challengers, Patriots, etc.

The article indirectly confirms the idea that at the time the SVO began, the Russian army was in fact not ready to confront NATO weapons. Neither with artillery, nor with air defense, nor with aviation, nor with drones.
Russia launched the Northern Military District despite the fact that neither the mobilization reserve, nor the industry, nor the army were ready.
And only now has there come an awareness of the need to change the situation.
Today, a comparison of the grouping of NATO ships in the Mediterranean Sea and the grouping of our ships there clearly shows the state of our Navy.
I'm not trying to discredit our army and navy, I'm trying to take a realistic look at their condition and capabilities.

Our main problems come from the impunity of the Western bourgeoisie. There is no answer - so they become more impudent every day. Soon they will hand over a nuclear bomb to the Banderlogs. Why not convey it if you know for sure that nothing will happen to you for this? We have to pay dearly for the Tolstoyanism and fierce elfism of our leaders...

The main question is why is the Su-57 in the title and not the Su-35, the radar is the same?
The patent for the invention provides for the production of 12 prototypes (how many have already been produced, in addition?)
S-shaped air intake duct, only with the second stage engine will the "Product 30" appear

And all V-V missiles are equipped with either solid propellant rocket engines or propellant rocket engines.

With all due respect to Sergei Marzhetsky (I communicated with him in personal correspondence, the man made a pleasant impression) I would agree with his articles in about 20% of cases and here’s why. By training, Sergei seems to be a lawyer. I don’t know on what basis he writes all this, but...:
        1) Ukraine will receive only 18 vehicles decommissioned from the Danish Air Force..What kind of vehicles are these? This is F-16 Block 20...What is it? This is a deep modernization of the F-16 Block 15... and these machines were produced from 1981 to 84...
        2) At one time, the US Air Force conducted joint exercises with the Indian Air Force on its territory, and the US Air Force used AWACS aircraft, and the Indians only used the onboard electronics of their Su-30MKI and in most of the battles the Indians won...
        3) What will change for the Russian Federation with the appearance of the F-16 in Ukraine? I think it's nothing. The tactics of using the Ukrainian Air Force will not change. They will operate in small groups, or individually, from low altitudes and strike from stealth if given the opportunity. Work in the same way as the Ukrainian MiG-29s are working now and with approximately the same result... because the MiG-29s delivered to Ukraine are adapted for the use of NATO weapons from them. For whom can F-16s in Ukraine be dangerous? Just like the Ukrainian MiG-29, they can be situationally dangerous for helicopters of the Russian Aerospace Forces and Su-25 attack aircraft... A number of helicopters can carry air-to-air missiles, but it is still difficult for them to fight against a fighter... Any Su-30 The Su-35, Su-34 will be able to fend for itself in a battle with the F-16... well, fighting the Su-57, as for me, is a utopia... because the chances are near zero... And if the Su-30 Su-34, Su-35 often fly with obsolete, but not yet irrelevant, missiles, Su-57 fly with new ones and are constantly being modernized... The radar on the Su-57 is, in fact, a mini AWACS

As if some F-16 could fly up to the Russian A-50 AWACS unnoticed. So it is visible “like on a plate” and will immediately run into an oncoming missile, just like the Ukrop Su-24 and MiG-29 in the recent past. Even if the Dill manage to launch a missile at an achievable range, it will be shot down at the border by ground-based air defense systems or the A-50 self-defense systems will “confuse” it (this is not a helicopter). There are no problems with visible targets!

Precisely because, not a single turbojet engine that can be placed in the body of a V-V missile will provide sufficient thrust to obtain the speed necessary to intercept high-speed targets. Yes, it might be possible for it to shoot down a helicopter or something propeller-driven, but no one will make such a missile. The price is comparable or more expensive than the usual solid propellant rocket engine, and the capabilities are minimal.

The problem is too few numbers - both A-50 and Su-57. The chances of losing, first of all, the low-speed flying radar A-50 during a massive attack by long-range enemy missiles are very high. Therefore, having achieved success from the use of the A-50, it would be useful to at least temporarily remove it away, without waiting for the enemy’s concentrated efforts to destroy it.
For some reason, nothing has been heard about the use of the Su-34 modification with Sych suspended radar containers in the air defense system.

To do this, Red commanders need to learn to make decisions based on intelligence data. Some in power have finally given the go-ahead for the complete destruction of the possibility of delivering goods from states adjacent to the farm. Shut the throats of the oligarchs who continue to supply the enemy with oil, gas, metal and other strategically important cargo. Cease all relations with currently hostile countries of the former socialist camp, including diplomatic and trade relations. Amend the documents to consider that any supply of weapons and military equipment is a hostile act on the part of the supplier state and Russia has the right to respond to this by striking the supplier’s territory (including nuclear weapons) in order to stop supplies. Pink snot in the form of red lines has not worked for a long time and depicting threats by waving a finger is a horror story for a kindergarten, and not for the rude idiots of the West.

Personally, I completely agree with you, but the current government in the Kremlin is simply not capable of taking such steps due to its liberal nature. Putin is the main liberal in the country, but so far this seems to the majority to be something seditious and impossible, but in fact he is defending not the Russian world, it is simply winning a place in the sun in the future world order for its national bourgeoisie
