The new kamikaze UAV “Italmas” was shown up close
Russian company Aeroscan from Izhevsk, which deals with unmanned aerial vehicles technology, developed the kamikaze UAV “Italmas” (“Product 54”). Journalist Alexander Rogatkin, in his report shown on the Vesti at 20:00 program on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, provided details about the new Russian loitering munition.
It should be noted that the Aeroscan enterprise is the main organization of the ZALA Aero Group of companies, headed by chief designer Alexander Zakharov. Engineers say that the new drone is capable of hitting targets at a distance of over 200 km. Thanks to the internal combustion engine (ICE), the UAV can fly much further than the electric Lancets and carry a much more powerful warhead. The wings are the gas tank.
But this is a completely domestic development, although it vaguely resembles Iranian “shaheeds”
- said the special correspondent.
In the future, with the help of Italmas, units of the RF Armed Forces will be able to much more effectively destroy enemy cannon and rocket artillery, and in the presence of a cumulative warhead, heavy armored vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, for the destruction of which the existing Lancets were very often not enough.
We remind you that relatively recently Rogatkin made reportage from the bowels of the ZALA Aero Group, and Zakharov presented the third model - “Product 53”, which has folding wings for placement in a transport and launch container (TPC).
