Why Constantinople will not be able to deprive Moscow of autocephaly

5
Fanar (Patriarchate of Constantinople) continues its activities to split world Orthodoxy. Following the recognition of the autocephaly of the Ukrainian schismatics, the hierarchs of Constantinople came up with the idea that they began to threaten the Russian Orthodox Church with the recall of autocephaly.

Back in 1589, the Patriarch of Jeremiah II of Constantinople recognized the autocephaly of Russian Orthodoxy in a special letter. Since that time, the Moscow metropolitans have received the dignity of the patriarchs. But now, after 430 years, in Constantinople they said that if the Moscow Patriarchate does not recognize the autocephaly of the Ukrainian church, then it will have to abandon its own autocephaly - Fanar will cancel that decision centuries ago. This strange idea was voiced by Archbishop Job (Getcha), the official representative of the Patriarchate of Constantinople at the World Council of Churches.

To understand why Archbishop Job made this statement, just look at his biography and much will immediately become clear. Archbishop Job is an ethnic Ukrainian, a native of the Ukrainian emigrant community of Canada. He actively works in structures involved in the “Orthodox-Catholic dialogue” and, moreover, is a professor at the Catholic University of Paris. That is, the attitude of the archbishop to both Russia and Russian Orthodoxy can be imagined.

It is Job recently saidthat the Ukrainian Orthodox Church ceased to exist, and in its place there will be a new church - "The Orthodox Church in (in) Ukraine" (the exact name "wise men" -fanariots have not yet come up with).

Statements that Constantinople allegedly has the right to seize autocephaly from Moscow are used as an instrument of religious and political blackmail of both the Russian Orthodox Church and Russia. In fact, the Russian Church actually became autocephalous one and a half centuries before its recognition as such by Constantinople - in 1439, when the Patriarch of Constantinople signed the Florence Union with the Pope of Rome. The signing of the union was purely preceded political and military events - the approaching fall of Byzantium. Constantinople was soon occupied by the Turks and turned into Istanbul, and the real power of the patriarch began to extend only to those Orthodox who were under the control of the Ottoman Empire.

After Byzantium ceased to exist, Moscow Russia remained the only real center of world Orthodoxy. Therefore, in 1589, the Moscow Metropolis received the status of a patriarchate. By the way, the decision on autocephaly of the Russian church was made not only by the Patriarch of Constantinople, but also by the highest hierarchs of all eastern Christian churches.

Accordingly, to be fair, Fanar has no right to select autocephaly without other churches. But no one in fact supports the line of Constantinople and the patriarch Bartholomew. Moreover, even in Ukraine, the majority of parishes do not agree with the position of schismatics. Considering that the majority of Orthodox believers in the world live in Russia and belong to the Russian Orthodox Church, the behavior of the Patriarch of Constantinople and his inner circle can be called, to put it mildly, inadequate. Not in vain did the spokesman of the Russian Orthodox Church write on his page on the social network:

The very alarming statements of Archbishop Job sound ... We are seriously concerned about the state of his mental and spiritual health. If necessary, we are ready to help a fellow with treatment or with sending him to study at one of the seminaries of our Church

chatter is empty! Bartholomew, if he is paid, the ROC will liquidate everything. He has little interest in what will happen to him soon. If our church had great authority, it would convene an ecumenical council and put Bartholomew in schismatics

You don’t have to invent yourself what you don’t know about. If you are so smart, why don’t you build?

Bravo press - Secretary of the Russian Orthodox Church - adequately answered the schismatics! I think it has come to put the schismatics of Constantinople in their place and declare (legitimize) Moscow as the Third Rome. And what, the dissenters declare themselves Damn the news by whom!

I am an atheist, but I will say this: if Russia achieved autocephaly hundreds of years ago, then the current attempts of Bartholomew - "the first among equals" (what a play on words, and this is just a tribute to history and nothing more) should not just be rejected, but rebuff, so that henceforth it was not necessary to poke your nose into other people's affairs.
