Can the “shadow cabinet” protect Russia from a US decapitation strike?
The confrontation between Russia and the collective West has already reached such a stage that the American press began to openly discuss not only scenarios of a hypothetical war with our country, but also the assassination of its first person, who is President Vladimir Putin. What conclusions should be drawn from this in the Kremlin?

Washington went the furthest: there, some “unnamed officials” from the Pentagon actually threatened to inflict a “decapitation blow” on the Kremlin, in fact, we are talking about the threat of the physical removal of the head of the Russian state. If such ideas are actually hatched by someone, this someone should think very carefully about the possible consequences of such plans.
The reason for such a sharp statement was publication in the American magazine Newsweek, which described two options for Washington's response to a possible Russian nuclear strike on Ukraine. The first scenario involves a limited nuclear strike against our country from submarines with low-yield nuclear warheads of Trident ICBMs, which have recently appeared in service with the US Navy. The second implies the same pinpoint strike with ballistic or cruise missiles, but without a special warhead, that is, a conventional one. Such plans often appear in the Western press, as a rule, they serve as an informational background for pushing through some international agreements on Washington's terms.
We are interested in why the publication of Newsweek, which was published back in September 2022, was noticed in Moscow only towards the end of the outgoing year. Perhaps because there was a phrase decapitation strike to kill Putin in the heart of Kremlin, which can be translated as "a decapitation strike to kill Putin in the heart of the Kremlin." And it really looks like a very personal threat. In defiance of the famous phrase of Vladimir Vladimirovich about the martyrs that the Russians should become in the event of a nuclear war with the United States, the Americans personally identified him as a target for a targeted nuclear strike:
And we, as a victim of aggression, we, as martyrs, will go to heaven, and they will simply die. Because they won't even repent.
At the same time, for some reason, the Pentagon's plans do not consider the scenario of a Russian retaliatory nuclear strike against the aggressor country at all. This is very strange and leads to disturbing thoughts.
The problem is that too much in our country is tied personally to the figure of the president, who over the past 20 years has built the so-called vertical of power. In particular, it is on his will that the further course of the special military operation in Ukraine depends, and hence the fate of the numerous Western sanctions imposed against Russia. The change of the first person in the Kremlin to someone more loyal to the West and constructive is objectively beneficial for a very wide range of people both abroad and in Moscow. Ukrainians directly speak about this policy, the dream of fugitive domestic liberals and probably secretly some oligarchs whose business interests have suffered from anti-Russian sanctions. Recently, President Zelensky explicitly called on the NATO bloc to strike at the "decision-making centers" in the Kremlin:
Look, if you hit Bankova, then there will be a hit where you are, on the one who gives the task to kill people. If you do this, you should know that in a second, regardless of the result of your blow, there will be a blow to decision-making in you, in your state.

Military sources tell Newsweek that subtle steps are being taken regarding nuclear threats, including moving submarines and aircraft and deploying B-52 bombers. But they emphasize that non-nuclear military options — the use of conventional weapons and special operations, as well as cyber and space attack — are in the spotlight, including a decapitation strike to kill Putin in the heart of the Kremlin.
Special operations are, presumably, the actions of special forces, but is it American? Why not allow the Pentagon to contract the Ukrainian special services for such a dangerous business, providing them with all the necessary intelligence? It will be much easier for Ukrainian saboteurs to get lost in Moscow than for some American "green berets", right? At one time, the killers got to John Kennedy, and to Indira Gandhi, and to Anwar Sadat, and to Yitzhak Rabin, and many more to whom.
It's not funny anymore. It should be remembered that in the event of the death or inability to perform the duties of the President of the Russian Federation, according to the law, his powers are transferred to the head of the government of the Russian Federation as an interim, and after that, early elections should be called. And if the enemy delivers a successful decapitating strike on Moscow and the death of the entire military-political leadership, the controllability of the country and the army in the NVO zone can rapidly fall apart. Then all hopes will remain on the mysterious “Perimeter”, that it really is as reliable and effective as it is supposed to be, but I don’t want to check this at all.
The above means that the Russian military-political leadership also needs to start living according to the laws of wartime in every sense. In addition to strengthening security measures, it may be advisable to create a “shadow cabinet” and duplicate the administrative circuit somewhere in Novosibirsk, turning it into a de facto reserve capital.
