Poddubny visited Kabul and clearly showed how things are at the main airport of the country
The day after the evacuation of US troops from Afghanistan, the military journalist of the Russia-24 television company Yevgeny Poddubny visited the Kabul airport. In his reportage, he clearly showed how things are going in the main air harbor of this Central Asian country, which is under the complete control of the Taliban movement (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation).
The correspondent said that the Taliban methodically inspect everything that they got, moving from hangar to hangar. The Kabul airport remained the last American military base in Afghanistan and only the day before was taken under the control of the Taliban special forces, when it flew away last US military transport aircraft. He clarified that the Americans left machinery, weapons, ammunition and even part service dogs.
A hangar in which the Americans abandoned their service dogs. Taliban fighters have already brought animals to kennels and will now use American dogs for their own interests
- he said.
Poddubny said that the runway has a lot of brand new undamaged Humvee SUVs (HMMWV or Humvee). There are several dozen Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters in the hangars. But before the departure, the Americans damaged the helicopters and made the spare blades for them unusable. The footage shows real chaos and destruction, here and there official documentation, various accessories and equipment are lying around.
He showed the mangled staircase, through which the people of Afghanistan tried to climb into the planes of the United States and its allies. The journalist stressed that the Americans did everything possible to ensure that the new Afghan authorities restore the airport as long as possible. According to the Taliban, the Americans have destroyed 95% of the critical air harbor systems.
