Russian aviation suffered irreparable losses over the past month

Over the four weeks of the outgoing summer of 2021, Russian aviation suffered irreparable losses. New aircraft can be produced quickly enough, but people's lives cannot be returned.

In almost a calendar month, seven catastrophes have occurred, which has never happened before. The series of incidents is as follows.



On July 31, a Su-35S multipurpose fighter of the Russian Aerospace Forces crashed on Sakhalin. The pilot managed to eject. Online появились footage from the crash site, and one unofficial source led curious details of what happened.

On August 12, a Mi-8 helicopter of the Vityaz-Aero company crashed in Kamchatka, flying on the route Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky - Kuril Lake. The rotorcraft fell into a pond. There were 16 people on board, of which 8 were killed (6 passengers and 2 crew members were able to get out of the helicopter and swim to the surface). The helicopter body was at a depth of 110 meters, 500 meters from the coast. The bodies of the pilot and tourists were recovered from the water using a deep-sea vehicle.

August 14 in Turkey crashed Be-200 of the Russian Ministry of Defense. One of three amphibious aircraft included in the combined air group of the Ministry of Emergencies and the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, aimed at extinguishing forest fires. There were 8 people on board (5 Russian servicemen and 3 Turkish nationals, showing the fires). All died.

August 17 near the village. Kubinka in the suburbs crashed a prototype of the Il-112V aircraft. Three members of its crew were killed (one of them was Honored Test Pilot Hero of Russia Nikolai Kuimov).

On August 18, a MiG-29 fighter of the Russian Aerospace Forces crashed on the territory of the Ashuluk test site (Kharabalinsky district) in the Astrakhan region. The pilot was killed.

On August 23, in a military unit located in the Narimanov district of the Astrakhan region, during scheduled repair work happened the fire of the MiG-29 fighter. The plane burned down completely, there were no casualties.

On August 27, a Su-24 front-line bomber crashed on the territory of the Perm Territory, which was flying to the enterprise to undergo repairs. The plane burned down, the crew managed to eject.

    The purpose of these statements is not very clear. Anyone who follows the events knows all this. If the car is a source of increased danger, then the plane (helicopter) and even more so.
    The results of investigations into the causes of these disasters will be classified, so all these incidents will be consigned to oblivion very soon.
