A series of August incidents did not end: a MiG-29 fighter burned out near Astrakhan

On Monday, August 23, in the Narimanov district of the Astrakhan region, a MiG-29 fighter caught fire during scheduled repair work in a military unit. During the incident, the plane burned down completely, there were no casualties. The incident was reported Telegram channel Baza.

The incident continued the series of August aviation accidents. Five days ago, in the Astrakhan region, on the territory of the Ashuluk test site, a MiG-29 crashed during a planned training flight without ammunition. The pilot was killed when the fighter fell. The reasons for that catastrophe were called unfavorable meteorological conditions, which allegedly could arise due to the proximity of the Caspian Sea and the mountains of Dagestan.

Honored pilot of Russia Yuri Sytnik has a different opinion about why incidents with Russian aircraft have recently become more frequent. In a conversation with the journalists of Tsargrad, the expert noted that it was not the pilots who were to blame for these accidents, but the managers and managers.


- Sytnik emphasized.

The pilot believes that now in Russia there is no high-quality pilot training system, there is no continuity in the transfer of experience. Command and control personnel do not want to take responsibility for training, because they fear losing their jobs. Sytnik added that in other countries such incompetent people would not be allowed close to the process of training flight personnel.
