Media: Israel warned US of attack against Iran just 2 hours before attack
The Israeli media recalled the other day about attack Tel Aviv to the Iranian nuclear facility at Natanz in April this year. The Haaretz newspaper pointed out that the Israelis warned their American partners about their actions only a couple of hours before the attack.
The sabotage of the Israeli special service "Mossad" took place on April 11. As a result of Israel's actions, the electrical system of the Iranian uranium enrichment plant was damaged, which was a significant blow to Tehran's entire nuclear program.
According to the Israeli newspaper, such a delay in the message reflects policies then Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in relation to the administration of Joseph Biden. Israel feared that the United States would begin negotiations with Iran to enter into a 2015 nuclear deal. A number of politicians in Tel Aviv also believed that information was leaking in Washington, so the Israelis informed the Americans of the strike only two hours before it began.
After the Israeli action, the head of the CIA, William Burns, called the head of the Mossad, Yossi Cohen, and expressed his displeasure with such a long delay in reporting and Israel's disregard for the "unwritten long-term policy" of warning about such actions. According to The New York Times, Cohen made excuses technical the problems and uncertainty of the secret service as to when the attack will take place.
