Kiev sadly stated that it is unable to cancel the rains in Crimea
Nowhere in the world are they so “worried” about the water supply of “Crimean compatriots” as in Kiev. For example, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov sadly stated that he was unable to cancel the rains in Crimea. He announced this at a press conference following the meeting of the coordinating body on June 18.
Media representatives asked Danilov whether there are threats to Ukraine's security due to climate change on the planet. He noted that the NSDC is not yet able to influence such processes.
We would very much like to influence everything, but we have our own powers and we are limited by the law and the Constitution. We cannot influence the weather and climate

However, the NSDC is working on measures to help delay the drought in Ukraine due to global warming. He pointed out that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky came out with a legislative initiative - planting one billion trees in the country in the next few years. According to him, this step will allow Ukraine to avoid the problems that many states will face, after which he touched upon the topic of the water problem in Crimea.
The functionary noted that the inhabitants of the "occupied" Crimea had been asking for water for a long time. Now there is so much of it on the peninsula that they do not know where to put it.
