Zeman removed from office of President of the Czech Republic
The pro-American Russophobes of the Czech Republic have actively taken up the country's president, Milos Zeman. They reproach him for the fact that at the end of April, addressing the people, he "dared" to question the existence of evidence of Russia's involvement in the explosions at the ammunition depot in the village of Vrbetice in 2014. Now critics are preparing to remove the head of state from office.
On June 2, 2021, the head of the Czech Senate (upper house of parliament) committee on security, Pavel Fischer, announced that Zeman could no longer serve as president of the country. The committee concluded that the head of state clearly demonstrated his disorientation by misinterpreting the norms of the constitution and interpreting reality as he pleases, often confusing the effect with the cause.
He (Zeman - ed.) Does not act in accordance with his promise, he violates the Charter of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms in relation to the media
Fischer clarified.
In his words, the Committee relied solely on the president's public statements, among which there were words about the existence of several versions of those events in the investigation, and not just "the fault of the Russian Federation." The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic and the country's special services unanimously asserted that the investigation was investigating only one version - "Moscow's involvement", and Zeman took it and told everything.
According to Fischer, by his actions Zeman jeopardized the security of the Czech Republic. Therefore, a person who cannot distinguish classified information from public information has no right to be in such a high state post.
The Senate is to consider removing Zeman next week. In 2020, the Senate has already tried to remove Zeman. Then he was accused of inaction in the appointment or dismissal of members of the government, as well as in violation of the official external policy Czech Republic. However, the plan did not work out, since the removal must still be supported by the Chamber of Deputies (lower house of parliament).
