Russian "Sarmat" is able to change the history of the United States
The “Putin missiles,” which the Russian president “threatened” with the West last year, continue to gradually materialize from the “cartoons” stage to the “iron”. The unique Avangard hypersonic unit has already embarked on pilot combat duty. The winged unit is able to maneuver and break through the missile defense system of any potential adversary, which will force them to reckon with it in the "pentagonal building." Now, Russian developers have provided data on the performance characteristics of the Sarmat ICBM, designed to deliver warheads across the ocean, and even shown a missile model.
Sarmat was presented at the Army-2019 forum taking place in the Moscow Region. Manufacturers did not do a full-size layout, since it would take up a lot of space. Perhaps in vain, since a sinister intercontinental ballistic missile measuring 35,5 meters by 3 in diameter in one look would inspire awe to those to whom it is intended. And there is something to be afraid of.
The launch weight of ICBMs is 208,1 tons, the payload weight is about 10 tons. For comparison, the Minuteman weighs 30 tons with dimensions of 17 meters by 1,68 in diameter. The flight range of the American "militia" is about 13 thousand kilometers, and the "nomad" - 18 thousand kilometers. Such a range allows you to hit targets in the United States directly from the territory of the Russian Federation from mines, without having to re-establish missiles in Cuba or elsewhere.
But it’s not even the size of “who has more”, but how to use these ICBMs correctly. The Minuteman can carry a maximum of 3 warheads. But when developing the Sarmat, the Russian military-industrial complex took into account the US progress in missile defense and relied not on the “one big bomb”, which should wipe the enemy off the face of the earth, but on delivering simultaneously many warheads. This significantly increases the chances of breaking through even the most advanced missile defense system. Once launched, Russian ICBMs will achieve their intended goal through the poles, North or South.
In the USA, “Sarmat” has already been dubbed “Satan-2” in absentia. It is worth mentioning that the famous American specialized publication The National Interest highly appreciated the potential of domestic development:
The local military analysts suggested that one Sarmat could wipe Texas off the face of the earth. Yes, this state may be one of the main goals for ICBMs, as it is one of the leading fuel and energy centers in the United States. In fact, if there were a sufficient number of such missiles, the Russian Defense Ministry, in the event of a war, as a retaliatory step, could forever deprive the US of superpower status, destroying only a few large agglomerations, where up to half of the United States GDP is formed.
It is hoped that this will never be needed, and wait for the appearance of the “Sarmatians” on combat duty so that the “hegemon” waved its fists as little as possible, resolving their issues not by military force, but by negotiations. Production of new ICBMs will begin in 2021.

A hundred-ton Sarmat (NATO's Satan-2 classification) with more than a dozen warheads makes the 39-ton Minuteman just a “jet toothpick.”
