Could one "Krasuha" leave all of Israel without GPS?
While the whole world is discussing a possible US attack on Iran and the participation of Israel in this, a very significant event has occurred. In the sky over Tel Aviv, the GPS navigation signal stopped working, which was noted by all the pilots who visited Ben-Gurion International Airport. The Israelis immediately saw in this the machinations of Russia. The most interesting thing is that a three-week GPS failure can actually be the result of the action of “invisible rays of Putin”.
Note that GPS is a global positioned system, originally developed for the needs of the Pentagon. Today it is widely used in the civilian sphere, but its purpose is to deliver the most accurate ballistic missile strikes and the effective interaction of units and formations of the US Army. There is also evidence that the Pentagon, in order to misinform in a number of conflicts, made “deliberate amendments” to GPS navigation data. Such is the American dual-use products obtained. In order not to depend on a potential adversary, Russia created its own navigation system GLONASS.
Our Israeli partners reported serious problems with signal reception at the country's main airport. According to them, GPS stopped working in the entire airspace of the country. The voice of the Israeli military, Galei IDF army radio, complained that it had affected neighboring Cyprus:
They didn’t go far in the search for the guilty, seeing the notorious “Russian trace” that stretches into neighboring Syria. As you know, Khmeimim airbase is located there, where the Russian Aerospace Forces are deployed. The military base is constantly attacked by drones launched by terrorists from the so-called de-escalation zone in Idlib. Air defense and electronic warfare systems are constantly forced to be on the lookout, guarding our soldiers. In Syria, there are wonderful EW systems "Krasuha", affecting the GPS-trackers, which are equipped with terrorist UAVs. Experts note that the level of enemy drones has risen sharply, now these are clearly not artisanal crafts assembled on the knee.
It turns out that these “Putin’s rays” baffled the American navigation in Israel?
Opinions on this subject are different. Anatoly Viktorov, the Russian ambassador in Tel Aviv, has denied these suspicions. Military expert Anton Lavrov believes that the mountainous terrain would prevent electronic warfare systems from reaching neighboring Israel. But another expert, Sergei Denisentsev, admits that there is still such a possibility technically:
Note that this is not the first time that our country has been accused of jamming GPS during the NATO unit’s exercises in close proximity to Russian borders. As a result of such an incident, Norway even lost its frigate Helge Ingstad, which was rammed by another vessel. It is not known for certain whether this was so in reality.
But the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in any case is in its own right, including electronic warfare in its own territory or in a friendly country, where it is under an agreement.

Initially, we thought that (malfunctions) occurred only in the Ben Gurion area, but now it turned out that the same problems faced aircraft in (Cypriot) Larnaca.

Maybe this is the hindrance that they fight with drones trying to periodically attack the Khmeimim base. Maybe they put them in the way, and some kind of noise reaches civilians.
