Russia is preparing another transport megaproject

On April 16, the Kamchatka Krai Development Corporation distributed a report on a new Russian geostrategic project in which Kamchatka plays an important role.

As follows from the message of the Kamchatka Development Corporation, this issue was raised at a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with scientists at the Kurchatov Institute National Research Center.

According to the head of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeyev,

Scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow State University and authoritative experts recently completed the development of the concept of creating transport and logistics corridors connecting the Asia-Pacific region and the European Union.

Within the framework of the concept, it is planned to build a new high-latitude railway on the basis of the Trans-Siberian Railway and the Baikal-Amur Mainline, develop the Northern Sea Route, between which it is planned to form a “grid” of transport, energy and telecommunications links, according to scientists, it is necessary to build new high-tech enterprises in the nodes of the “lattice” and cities.

The head of the Russian Academy of Sciences believes that this large-scale project for the next development of the Far East will be economically more effective than individual projects aimed at modernization economics Russia.

In turn, the Director General of the Kamchatka Development Corporation, Nikolai Pegin, notes that in good accordance with the initiative presented are plans to build, by 2023, on the eastern coast of the peninsula one of the world's largest terminals for the transshipment of liquefied natural gas, the construction of which is planned in conjunction with partners from China.

Note that a promising project for the development of transport and logistics corridors in the Far East is in accordance with a number of provisions of the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation, approved by the President of Russia in December 2016. In particular, we are talking about the following provisions:

15 a) exhaustion of Russia's economic growth opportunities based on the extensive exploitation of raw materials, against the backdrop of the formation of a digital economy and the emergence of a limited group of leading countries with new production technology and focused on the use of renewable resources;

15 g) the need for effective development and use of space, including by overcoming imbalances in the socio-economic development of the country, as well as strengthening Russia's position in the field of economic, scientific and military development of space and air space, the World Ocean, the Arctic and Antarctic.

Recall that in the framework of the implementation of the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development, the State Program “Scientific and Technological Development in the Russian Federation” has been formed and is being implemented, for which over 2018 trillion are planned to be allocated for 2025-4,6. rub.

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke very briefly in his next message to the Federal Assembly of the issues detailed in the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation and the State Program "Scientific and Technological Development in the Russian Federation":

The speed of technological changes is growing rapidly, is going up sharply. Anyone who uses this technological wave will break far ahead. Those who cannot do this, it - this wave - will simply overwhelm, drown. Technological lag and dependence mean a decrease in the country's security and economic capabilities, and as a result, a loss of sovereignty.

In fact, after all, Russia has many much more important, urgent and promising matters than just resolving diplomatic, geopolitical, and power conflicts, which in the future promise promising considerable benefits, and forming their own development zones, which are less vulnerable to unfriendly opponents.

If we could transfer the capital to the Urals or the Urals, build a new city from scratch, it would be not only a megaproject, but also a huge kick to accelerate our entire industry!

      Stupidity.
      And stupidity archi harmful.
Transferring the capital is, first of all, a colossal expenditure. First of all, for the budget. Moreover, most of these expenses are not compensated.
And it is possible (and necessary) to develop Siberia and the Far East without transferring capitals. This requires only political will and a carefully designed strategy.
What, in principle, is said in the article.
All talk about "transfers" is pure demagogy.

But I, as a Muscovite, do not mind moving the capital to another place and unloading my city. And it will be easier for us to breathe, and prospects will be drawn to other regions. Another thing is that this is a fantasy and nobody needs a capital in the Urals.

And you can do it even more fun.
Like in South Africa, there are 3 (capitals): Pretoria (administrative),
      Cape Town (Legislative),
      Bloemfontein (judicial).
      And Moscow will breathe easier)))

So the BAM is already expanding in full swing, where there were single tracks, converted to double tracks, at an accelerated pace, are transferring more and more lines and sections to electric traction, a branch is being driven to Yakutia ... the campaign will not stop there ...
      And they will reach Kamchatka.
The Northern Latitudinal Pass also 'came to life' (the famous Stalinist 'dead road' 501-503) ...
      There is a movement.

The Russian tax system hinders the development of the economy and destroys production. The Russian tax system contradicts the requirements of science, international experience and the interests of Russia, and the Tax Code requires radical processing. It is the existing tax system that is the main brake on the economic development of our country and the cause of the destruction of Russian industry.
Such conclusions are contained in the Recommendations of the Moscow Economic Forum held on March 26-27, 2014 in Moscow
That's all. "15 a) the exhaustion of Russia's economic growth opportunities based on the extensive exploitation of raw materials,"
