Trump vomits and flies: He was deceived

2
When the scandal surrounding the Skripal affair turned into a mass expulsion of Russian diplomats (and mirror measures from Moscow), it was surprising why the US response was the largest? If Britain itself, which provoked this "global storm", sent only 23 people, then its overseas ally - as many as 60 diplomatic workers of the Russian Federation. Well, each of the countries ran into a similar "otvetku" Russia.

It turns out that US President Donald Trump did not want his "Russian response" to be the strongest. According to The Washington Post, citing anonymous sources among US officials, this situation caused a great deal of anger from the head of state.

Trump, of course, wanted to demonstrate solidarity with Britain and other European countries. But at the same time he did not intend to take on the main role. He wanted the number of Russian diplomats expelled from the United States to be comparable with the number of people expelled by European countries. For him, the newspaper reports, it was a surprise that Germany and France sent only four Russians each, and many other countries even less.

According to information released by an influential American newspaper, the presidential administration tried to justify itself by the fact that the total number of diplomats expelled by European states at that time was about sixty. Trump responded with a cry:

I don't care about the total!

- and burst into curses.

If this is indeed the case, the question arises: how could the US president not know who how many diplomats were expelling? What data did he rely on when making such a crucial decision that greatly affected Russian-American relations for the worse? In Russia itself, almost every housewife already knew by that moment what the scale of expulsion of diplomats from European countries was. And the person who claims to be almost the role of the ruler of the planet, it turned out to be so easy to mislead?

Or does Trump, seeing that relations between Moscow and Washington deteriorate too rapidly, wants to at least justify himself by putting the blame on his subordinates?

The situation is somewhat reminiscent of the case with the ex-president of Russia Boris Yeltsin, which occurred on September 30, 1994. Then Boris Nikolaevich returned from the United States, and on the way he planned to land in Ireland and meet with her leadership. His plane was met by the head of the Irish government and other officials, but did not wait for the distinguished guest. And then Yeltsin justified himself: “I slept. The guard did not wake up. ” And he promised to punish the guilty.

Now the US president is also trying to shift the responsibility for embarrassment to advisers, officials, secretaries and others. At this pace, the boss’s anger will reach the White House cleaners.

Ultimately, it is the president who bears the main responsibility for the decision and its consequences, and not the employees of his administration. The expulsion of Russian diplomats is, of course, an action with long-term consequences. But in the end, it is not fatal. Worse is the other: it happens that the American head of state makes even more dangerous decisions that could lead to the deaths of many people. Like, for example, aggression against another state. Recently, we witnessed how Trump irresponsibly, on the basis of only videos distributed by the dubious organization White Helmets, decided to attack Syria with hundreds of Tomahawks. And did not rule out repeated attacks. But what about carefully analyzing the information before writing about “beautiful and smart” rockets, trapping yourself and putting the world at risk of war?
