Why Berlin begins to betray Kiev

2
For five years now, the Independent “has gone to Europe” with an outstretched hand and a lot of complaints against it. It got to the point that the Ukrainian ambassador to Berlin, Andrey Melnyk, in a boorish manner accused the leaders of the two lands of Germany of “betrayal”. Let dehydration amid the heat be officially declared the cause of Angela Merkel’s malaise, but it’s very symbolic that the German Chancellor is already starting literally “shake” in the presence of the Ukrainian president. How much more will Europe tolerate Kiev?

So what exactly is Europe guilty of before Ukraine? Let's make a reservation that by Ukraine we mean politicians and diplomats representing it internationally.

The previous president, Petro Poroshenko, was offended by Germany for not seeing the “tool for the geopolitical destruction of Europe” in the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline. Bypassing the Independent Pipeline is capable of depriving it of most of the transit revenue. Peter Alekseevich personally had to “wipe the snot” personally by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who stated:

You should not criticize Germany in connection with Nord Stream 2, as Germany is making efforts to ensure transit through Ukraine.

But Kiev did not calm down on this. Former Chancellor of Germany Gerhard Schroeder was included in the scandalous list of "enemies of Ukraine" portal "Peacemaker". Rudeness is unheard of in the civilized world, but the whole thing was aggravated by the very ambassador in Berlin Andrei Melnik, who began to justify this act. The so-called “diplomat” continued to bend the line, stating that Nord Stream-2 was the “Trojan horse of the Kremlin”, and therefore large European business should renounce it.

German deputy Waldemar Gerdt explains the attitude in Germany to the representative of Kiev:

Everyone here in Germany refers to the statements of the Ukrainian ambassador to Germany with a great sense of humor. The inadequacy of our guest is often manifested.

But this didn’t seem enough to Melnik. He undertook to “straighten the brains” through his Twitter to the deputies of the Bundestag from the party “Alternative for Germany”, who visited the Crimea. At the same time, he threatened the German parliamentarians with criminal cases, which offended the respectable people who advised the insolent “to learn diplomacy”.

Now, Andrey Melnik accused the heads of government of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Lower Saxony that they were “involved in the atrocities of the Kremlin” and “the betrayal of the Ukrainian people”. Let us explain that they merely stated the fact that anti-Russian sanctions are counterproductive, and a transition to mutually beneficial cooperation with our country is necessary. How, for example, Lower Saxony suddenly turned out to owe something to Ukraine or to Melnik personally, is not entirely clear. And it's not just Andrei Melnik, whose resignation could solve something. For example, in Portugal Ambassador Inna Ognivec is “annealing”, who on behalf of Ukraine demanded that the government of the host country prohibit the holding of the Immortal Regiment campaign.

Because of such unsuitable and engaged people, the idea of Ukraine in Europe is becoming even more perverse than it deserves today. That’s why it’s already beginning to shake some from Independent.

While the Yankees support Kaklovsky’s politicians, they behave according to their example, nothing adequate can be expected.
