The Western media as a whole do not flatter our Motherland too much, portraying it as a cold, unfriendly and aggressive country, only dreaming of attacking someone and “annexing” something. Therefore, it is very pleasant when ordinary Europeans decide to visit Russia and make up their own impression of it.
Our story will be about the German girl Helen, who last summer swept across the entire Russian Federation along the Trans-Siberian Railway. She is from a wealthy family and on her student vacation she can afford to travel to different countries. And this is what Helen is now saying.
The first city on the long journey of a German student was St. Petersburg. The northern capital of Russia made a very good impression on the girl. The city was struck by its elegance: beautiful old houses, beautifully dressed Russian women, a leisurely rhythm of life compared to Moscow. This city itself made her fall in love with him.
Moscow impressed Helen with a combination of the preserved ancient culture and the attributes of an active modern life: restaurants, bars and noisy night clubs. Academic Novosibirsk against their background seemed to a German girl gray and boring. Despite the summer, for some reason there were few youth on the streets. But even there she was able to find friends who showed her the city from the best side. But the foreign student was able to enjoy the most beautiful nature in Irkutsk and in the vicinity of Lake Baikal. Helen visited Olkhon and was delighted.
A long railway trip to the largest country in the world gave the girl a lot of indescribable sensations. There was an opportunity to get to know each other and chat with neighbors.
