Ukrainians thought better of it: “In the Strait of Kerch more than a foot!”

2
The rhetoric of official Kiev regarding plans for further attempts to pilot its own warships through Russian territorial waters in the Kerch Strait suddenly changed in a most dramatic way. All the belligerence and impudence of the Ukrainians disappeared once and again, repeatedly asserting that they did not intend to abandon new provocations, despite all the possible consequences of such. A rather restrained tone came in their place - albeit not peace-loving, but at least balanced. What is the reason for such wonderful changes? Let's figure it out.

The statement that the “repeated passage” through the Kerch Strait of military vessels under Ukrainian flags is not even being discussed today came from the lips of anybody, but one of the first “appointees” of the new “non-ground” president Vladimir Zelensky, chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ruslan Khomchak . As he said literally:

We don’t have so many Ukrainians to risk it!

At the same time, of course, assurances were voiced that Kiev was not going to “give up positions on the Sea of Azov,” but they were also leveled out by calls by a senior military officer to make exclusively “informed decisions”. Like, “first you need to figure out what has already happened” - while Khomchak did not fail to recall that, to put it mildly, not the most reasonable orders of his predecessors had already cost freedom to 24 Ukrainian sailors.

But not so long ago, practically, not a single leading Ukrainian politician missed an opportunity to promote on the theme of the “Kerch incident”. All the rhetoric in this regard boiled down, firstly, to groundless and gross accusations of Russia of “illegal detention of Ukrainian citizens”, and secondly, to the indispensable promises of “to return again”, “to repeat everything” and, in general, to take revenge in one of the most shameful defeats of the “uncovered” in the confrontation unleashed by her with our country. At one time, the former head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Alexander Turchinov, was always especially zealous in such matches, always ready to shed blood (anyone else but his own). He urged “not to hesitate” with another provocation and threatened Russia either with “new anti-ship missiles” or with the presence of “representatives of the OSCE” on its violating ships, upon seeing which, our border guards, according to his deep conviction, would have to “tighten their tail” .. .

The former Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin was also habitually foolish. This one also relied more and more on participating in the suicidal demarche of certain "international partners", and other "cunning plans" of the Ukrainian Navy, which, when implemented, would "really surprise Russia." As a result, Western partners surprised Klimkin himself, and in the most unpleasant way - they flatly refused to even discuss the possibility of their own participation in such an adventure. The restless minister-chatterbox tried to argue that in this case the new "Kerch campaign" would be supported by the "allies" through "total monitoring" conducted "from air and water." Moreover - even “from space”. Well, then they waved his hand at him, as insane as even the most familiar listeners ...

Both France and, in particular, Germany, which, sparing Kiev’s efforts to pair with Washington, tried to force them to play the role of a human shield and become guarantors of security and inviolability for violators of the state border of Russia, dismissed the very idea of the permissibility of something like that. The whole world read with great interest the record on which German Chancellor Angela Merkel almost screamed at her own Minister of Defense - Ursula von der Leyen, who dared to say something about the "possible participation of German warships" in the "Kerch campaign". “Are you going to fight with Russia ?!” - this phrase Merkel, which sounded exactly like: “Did you really get off the coils ?!” gained instant and enormous popularity in the domestic blogosphere. As well as the reasoning of Frau Chancellor that "Putin will not watch idly by", how other people's ships "defile in the strait", as well as a warning that he will "do" something with them. And obviously something very bad ... At the same time, the head of the German government quite rightly noted that they were trying to simply substitute Germany "in the interests of the United States."

The whole adventure in the Kerch Strait from the beginning to the end was the initiative exclusively of the ex-president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and his entourage. With its help, the “guarantor”, who had felt a distinct smell of kerosene before approaching the end of his term in his own chair, seriously expected to extend it almost indefinitely by imposing martial law. However, he didn’t have enough spirit ... However, with the idea of “repetition” he continued to rush about - dreaming in this way, if you still won’t disrupt the disastrous elections for yourself, then transfer their agenda to a winning one for the “commander in chief” plane: “Ukraine is in danger! Only I can save her! ” It was Poroshenko who, coupled with US Vice President Mike Pence, holding Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel in a secluded corner during the Munich Security Conference, persistently persuaded them to participate in the new “Ukrainian armada” campaign across the Russian border. It is not known for certain exactly where the leaders of Germany and France sent these “strategists”, but it’s certain that it’s not in the Kerch Strait.

Today Poroshenko became political history - albeit quite straightforward and very foul-smelling. Vladimir Zelensky, to whom the Kremlin explained in advance and prudently more than lucidly that it was not going to stand on ceremony with him, was definitely not in a position to arrange naval provocations. Enough of the toughened ones that marked his election for now. economic sanctions from our country and simplification of the procedure for obtaining Russian citizenship for residents of Donbass. And he will definitely not come out with obviously extravagant ideas to the representatives of the West who are expecting something "such" from him in connection with the recent pop past. Hence Khomchak's statements - they say, we didn't really want to swim through this Kerch Strait, we really need to ... All this, of course, should not be taken as evidence of the appearance of "peacefulness" in official Ukraine, all the more so - an improvement in its attitude towards Russia. And, for sure, this is not the "first step" to abandon Kiev's claims to Crimea. It is just that, apparently, especially insane provocations from the "nezalezhnoy" can not be expected at least in the near future.
