Samsung has patented a smart phone with a twisting screen.

It seems that the South Korean giant Samsung has foreseen possible problems with its folding Galaxy Fold smartphone, or maybe it's just a coincidence. But be that as it may, the manufacturer at the end of last year patented another device with a flexible display and, moreover, in an unusual form factor.

On the eve of the aforementioned application received approval from WIPO, and a network resource told about some characteristics of unusual development Leadsgodigital. The main difference between the patented device and its “flexible competitors” is that its screen does not fold, but curls into the case. In this case, instead of the hinge mechanism, a roller mechanism is used.

Thus, to enlarge the screen (up to 60%), it will be enough for you to pull the top of the gadget. In its usual form, the device resembles a rather “thick” (due to the built-in roller mechanism) smartphone, which, when the display is deployed, takes a wedge-shaped shape.

Nothing is known about the other characteristics. It is assumed that the new device from Samsung in expanded form will have proportions, as in Sony Xperia 1 (21: 9). In addition, based on the drawings, it can be concluded that the device will be equipped with physical buttons at the end and a set of sensors in the “bangs”.

It's too early to talk about the release of a revolutionary smartphone. Today it is just a patent, which can become part of a collection of unrealized ideas from a South Korean corporation.

    - Yes, of course ... - another "dead end" ... - it is unlikely that there will be a continuation and development ... - And then the Chinese would have slammed long ago ...
