Zelensky found grounds for dismissing Prosecutor General Lutsenko

In Ukraine, the confrontation between President Vladimir Zelensky and the entourage of Petro Poroshenko continues, which is not going to leave its homes without a fight.

As Russian President’s Verkhovna Rada’s representative, Ruslan Stefanchuk, said on air of a Ukrainian talk show, Vladimir Zelensky will not abandon attempts to dismiss Poroshenko’s “appointees” - Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin, Minister of Defense Stepan Poltorak, SBU head Vasyl Hrytsak, as well as Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko .

According to Stefanchuk, next week the president will provide the Verkhovna Rada with additional submission for dismissal in relation to the prosecutor general and former president’s godfather Yuri Lutsenko.

The representative of Zelensky noted that, despite certain difficulties associated with the dismissal of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the team of the new president found the possibility of legal justification for the dismissal of the prosecutor.

Recall that Yuriy Lutsenko was appointed by Petro Poroshenko to the post of Prosecutor General in 2016, despite his lack of the necessary legal education.

At his post, Lutsenko became famous for covering Poroshenko and closing criminal cases against the people he needed. One of the most scandalous cases is the closure of the case against the Odessa killer, activist Sergei Sternenko, who cut a man and filmed his death on video.

There is no place to put stigmas there, but they are looking for reasons.
