US decided how to revenge Turkey for the purchase of C-400
The United States has decided how to take revenge on Turkey for the purchase of S-400 systems from Russia. Since Washington was never able to get the deal out of the Turkish leadership, the US Department of Defense decided to take a different path.
As it became known, the United States will refuse to accept Turkish pilots for training in the management of F-35 fighter-bombers. Also, Americans will not prepare technical personnel to service these aircraft.
Meanwhile, the ban is introduced only for new pilots and technicians. All Turkish soldiers who are already undergoing training will have the opportunity to complete it safely. Currently, four Turkish Air Force pilots are trained in the United States, and two more Turkish pilots work as flight instructors. In addition, twenty people from the technical personnel of Turkish military aviation are being trained in the United States.
Recall that on May 21, the United States put forward an ultimatum to Turkey, demanding within two weeks to decide on the refusal to acquire the S-400. And now they were forced to respond to policies Ankara, because the Turks did not break the deal that the Americans hated.
Turkish President Recep Erdogan and other senior officials of the country, however, have repeatedly stated that the issue of acquiring the S-400 from Russia has been resolved and the Turkish army is not going to abandon the systems.
In the USA, such behavior of one of the closest NATO allies was naturally considered as a demonstration of their independence in making strategic decisions. And the Americans really do not like it.
