Kuchma called for the lifting of the blockade on the DNI and the LC
With the change of president in Ukraine, there were signs that policy Ukrainian authorities in relation to the Donetsk and Lugansk republics may change.
OSCE spokesman Martin Saidik said that Leonid Kuchma, appointed new president of Ukraine’s representative in Minsk, proposed to remove economic blockade with the LPR and the DPR. Saydik believes that if this proposal is put into practice, it will be a major breakthrough in the negotiations.
The message of the OSCE representative was confirmed by the representative of Russia Boris Gryzlov. According to him, the economic subgroup will work out a plan to implement the proposal of the ex-president of Ukraine.
Leonid Kuchma noted that for the first time all meetings of the working groups were held in such a constructive spirit. It is difficult to disagree with his words.
