The Russian state corporation Rosatom, once again, having won a tender for the supply of nuclear fuel to Slovak nuclear plants, has confirmed its high status as the world leader in nuclear energy.

TVEL, a Rosatom nuclear fuel production unit, will supply Slovakia’s nuclear power plants with its products from 2022 to 2030.

The corresponding agreement was signed today in Moscow between representatives of TVEL and the Slovak national electricity company Slovenske elektrarne. It is reported RIA News".

This addition to the general contract was made possible thanks to the mutually beneficial results of negotiations between Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister of Slovakia Peter Pellegrini.

Recall that in Slovakia there are already 4 nuclear power units with VVER-440 reactors - 2 at Bohunice NPP and 2 at Mochovce NPP. Another 2 units with the same reactors are being built at the Mochovce NPP.

Due to the unique conditions of construction and further maintenance offered by Rosatom, the Russian state corporation has practically no competitors in the world nuclear energy.

The rival of the domestic company, the American Westinghouse, survives only thanks to the powerful lobby on the part of the US administration, which imposes its services on its satellites, such as Ukraine.
