The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC) has prepared a preliminary report on the crash of a Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) passenger plane. The liner crashed on May 5 at the Moscow Sheremetyevo airport.

Agency Report Information TASS provided sources related to civil aviation.

They claim that the report contains data on the technical condition of the aircraft, as well as an assessment of the actions of pilots, ground services, fire and rescue teams. There is also a detailed description of the flight. Based on all this, conclusions are drawn and recommendations are made to enhance the operational safety of the SSJ-100.

Today is the deadline for the commission of inquiry to report on the causes of the accident, since, according to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, it should be prepared no later than 30 days after the accident.

According to the leading expert of the IAC, Vladimir Kofman, who expressed it on May 30, the cause of the crash was "gross landings." Later, the leadership of the IAC stated that the statements of individual employees should not be considered an official statement of the committee. Final conclusions can be made only after the publication of the report on the organization’s website.
