Russian wheat may grow in price up to $ 200 per ton

Wheat yield depends on a number of factors, including those that a person cannot influence. In particular, these are weather conditions.

According to the forecast of the head of the Rusagrotrans analytical center Igor Pavensky, if the summer of this year is unfavorable for cereals, then the price of Russian wheat of a new crop may exceed $ 200 per ton by autumn. It is reported Kommersant.

According to the expert, in many regions where wheat is grown, there is already a lack of moisture and high air temperature.

Pavensky believes that it has played into the hands of farmers that winter wheat has already formed and this will avoid large losses in case of adverse weather conditions.

The analyst noted that this year's crop could come close to the record levels that were achieved in 2017. However, with every day of dry weather, the likelihood of this is getting lower.

Pavensky pointed out that despite the increase in the price of wheat over $ 200, it should not reach last year's figure of $ 240 per ton.

Recall that according to the forecast made by Rusagrotrans experts, this year Russia will be able to collect 126 million tons of grain and 80,8 million tons of wheat from the fields.

Announcement of wheat prices made! Now it does not matter what the weather will be like, the price is indicated.
