Russia imposed restrictions on energy supplies to Ukraine
On June 1, 2019, Russian retaliatory sanctions entered into force prohibiting the supply of energy products from Russia to Ukraine. At the same time, Moscow has repeatedly emphasized that it is ready to remove these and other restrictions if Kiev lifts its sanctions.
It should be noted that on the situation with the supply of Russian coal to Ukraine, we already informed readers. As for the supply of oil, petroleum products (gasoline, diesel fuel and others) and reduced gases (propane, butane and others), then, according to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Alexander Danilyuk (head of the NSDC personally Zelensky), the ban will create Kiev serious problems.
Kiev has already predicted a significant increase in prices in this regard. After all, Ukraine is heavily dependent on the supply of listed goods and raw materials from Russia. Moreover, from a coveted Europe it is simply physically impossible to get all this in the right quantities, and logistics costs much more. You can "get tired" with trucking, and the railway track implies a "shoe change" procedure. And all this increases the cost of products from Europe, which is already not cheap.
It must be added that surrounded by the new President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky there really are adequately minded people. For example, the representative of the president in the Ukrainian government, Andriy Gerus. is he считаетthat the trade war waged by Ukraine against Russia is a "shot in the foot." It's just that the new Kiev authorities need to “digest” everything, and this takes time.
In turn, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia has already sent to the government a list of companies to which permits can be issued for the supply of certain products. At the same time, it is specified that both the permits themselves and the volumes of supplies will be reviewed monthly.
It should be recalled that since 2015, the Ukrainian government regularly imposes various trade restrictions on Russia. The sanctions list of Kiev is systematically expanding and from August 1, 2019, the restrictions imposed by the government of Vladimir Groysman right before the inauguration of Zelensky will work.
