Russian engineers from the holding "Roselectronika", which is part of the corporation "Rostec", at an exhibition in Novosibirsk presented the latest mobile energy-efficient data center (DPC), created on the basis of a supercomputer. According to the designers, their device not only works effectively with large amounts of data, but also consumes 40% less energy than similar solutions presented by competitors.

The device consists of compact supercomputers created at JSC Concern Vega (structural division of Roselectronics). Despite its modest size (1900x1350x1000), the device is able to achieve a performance of 2,2 Petaflops and store data up to 2,2 PB. At the same time, the development of domestic engineers can operate in the temperature range from -50 ° С to +50 ° С and humidity up to 100%. In addition, the mobile data center has a high level of protection against noise, moisture and dust.

The main advantage of the MCOD is that its use does not require the construction of capital structures. You can quickly deploy such a data center even on the basis of vans or body containers. The developers emphasize that their offspring can find application in many areas. For example, the transport industry, the military-industrial complex, the fuel and energy sector, etc. In addition, the data center can be scaled up, increasing its capacity in accordance with the needs of the customer.
