In the Russian Railways explained the sharp rise in price of tickets in the reserved seats

Recently we Reportedas the Russian State Duma demonstrated the interior design of a reserved seat new generation car. And now, it became known about the sharp rise in price in Russia for the cost of tickets in reserved seats for the summer months (June - July 2019). Social activists sounded the alarm, and from Russian Railways hurried with explanations.

It should be noted that the signal to the media and the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) came from the All-Russian Passenger Association (All-Russian Public Organization for the Protection of Passenger Rights “Passenger Association”). According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, this social structure was registered in Moscow on December 28, 2017 (OGRN 1177700023698). Its leader (chairman) is Ilya Zotov.

So, experts from the All-Russian Association of Passengers, after receiving complaints from citizens, conducted an analysis of ticket prices in 12 directions. They found that, for example, the cost of a trip to the reserved seat from Moscow to Kaliningrad increased by 100% and amounts to 4021 rubles, from Moscow to Adler the cost increased by 97% and amounted to 4143 rubles, and from Novosibirsk to Tomsk it rose by 93% and amounted to 1507 rub. Least of all the rise in price affected (65-68%) directions from Moscow to St. Petersburg, Smolensk and Pskov.

Social activists have already contacted the FAS for clarification, so that the agency will check the carrier’s activities. At the same time, social activists understand that rolling stock needs to be repaired and updated. They were just outraged by a double rise in price.

In turn, the subsidiary of Russian Railways, which is engaged in passenger transportation - JSC Federal Passenger Company (JSC FPK), has already responded to this. From JSC FPK reported that this is a seasonal phenomenon. Discounts are available for most of the year because people travel less. In the summer, the holiday season, therefore, people travel more. As demand increases, discounts are removed. Here you have the whole "rise in ticket prices" and the hype around this.

Moreover, the state sets the price of tickets in reserved seats, and at the same time compensates Russian Railways for losses from the budget. Tariffs are set by the FAS, while raising the tariff from June 14 to September 1 can be no more than 20%.

But at the same time it compensates Russian Railways for losses from the budget - it’s interesting, but is there anything in Russia without losses? about that is, anyone is already understandable!

    K. Marx can be remembered for 300% and you can sell it, but for 100 a little less. In bright capitalism, we imagine that in addition to YOU, someone else will go on vacation and YOU will not get a ticket, and YOU will eat.

In bright capitalism we live, imagine that besides YOU, someone else will go on vacation and YOU will not get a ticket - it will be insulting, and so YOU will eat

    - if you have, suddenly there will be enough money for a reserved seat!
