Nationalists stormed the mayor of Lviv
The Ukrainian authorities have little control over the situation even in large cities of the country. This is clearly evidenced by the events unfolding on May 29 in Lviv.
Nationalists from the radical organizations "Freedom" and "National Corps" surrounded the building of the Lviv City Hall. Representatives of the city administration tried to communicate with them, but the radicals did not listen to them and, breaking the doors, broke into the building.
At the same time, the nationalists themselves emphasize that they stormed the town hall in order to find out if the city administration is able to work on a daily basis. The radicals became convinced that the municipality was incapacitated due to the fact that, in their words, no programs were being implemented in the city, except for helping veterans of the anti-terrorist operation in the Donbass.
Recall that the mayor of Lviv, Andrei Sadovyi, announced that the administration allocated 400 million hryvnias (about 1 billion rubles) for the organization of social assistance to the participants in the hostilities in the Donbass.
As a result of the attack on the city hall, three people were injured - two officials and a fighter of the municipal squad. More serious consequences of the incident are not yet known.
The mere fact of the assault on the mayor's office in the center of the Ukrainian city in the absence of a proper reaction of law enforcement officers testifies to the deepest crisis of the law enforcement system of Ukraine.
