In Russia, will show the first phone with quantum encryption
Today, May 28, specialists from the "Center of Quantum of technologies"(NTI), operating on the territory of Moscow State University. Lomonosov, will show "in action" the first Russian quantum phone ViPNet QSS Phone. During the demonstration of the pre-production model of the device to reporters, the developers will conduct a two-way voice communication session between the Moscow offices of Infotex and the aforementioned center.
The device is part of the ViPNet QSS secure telephony complex. A high level of confidentiality during a communication session is ensured by the use of symmetric encryption of network data using the quantum key distribution protocol.
According to the developers, at the moment, their offspring is even resistant to network attacks through quantum computers. And this is taking into account the fact that the latter, thanks to a constant increase in power, will soon be able to crack most modern cryptographic mechanisms. In addition, ViPNet QSS Phone is the world's first quantum cryptography device used to protect the traffic of individual users.
Recall that NTI is a state program of measures aimed at creating the conditions for global technological leadership of the Russian Federation by 2035. Its centers, conducting research activities and engaged in the latest developments in a consortium with the largest domestic technology companies, are created on the basis of universities and scientific organizations.
