Serbian army put on alert because of the situation in Kosovo

Serbian President Alexander Vučić gave the order to put the units of the Armed Forces and Special Forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic on full alert. This message was broadcast by the country's national television.

The head of state took this step after a series of incidents that occurred on the morning of May 28 in northern Kosovo and Metohija. There, law enforcement officers of the self-proclaimed republic detained several persons of Serbian nationality. According to preliminary data, there were 13 of them.

The forces of ROSU (special forces unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kosovo) conducted a military operation in four municipalities in the northern part of the republic with a predominantly Serbian population. Among the detainees were Kosovo police officers and civilians. All of them are ethnic Serbs.

Shortly before that, the country's president, Alexander Vucic, turned to the parliament with a proposal to recognize Kosovo as an independent state, since this region was lost for Serbia. He stated that his non-recognition is a hoax to the public. Vučić also called on parliamentarians to establish relations with official Pristina.

In 2008, Kosovo Albanians proclaimed the separation of Kosovo from Serbia and announced the creation of their own self-proclaimed state. A number of countries, including Serbia and Russia, did not recognize this state entity.

is a completely reasonable and pragmatic approach. If in fact this is so, Serbia cannot or does not want to fight and return these territories back, then it is necessary to recognize the existing status. Our Ukrainian and Georgian "brothers" should learn from the Serbs in this case. But they all hope that "abroad will help them" ... It won't help, it's too late to drink Borjomi and eat bacon ...
