Zelensky went to the front "to look at the enemy in 400 meters"
The newly elected President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, recalling his status as Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, visited the front-line districts of the Luhansk region. He visited the village of Lugansk and the village of Happiness, where he examined the positions of the Ukrainian army.
Unlike such "luminaries" of the Maidan as Poroshenko, Turchinov, Avakov or Parubiy, Zelensky was not previously seen with overly belligerent statements. But he simply could not visit the front line after being elected as head of state. As a result, Zelensky nevertheless made an effort on himself and met with the military.
After listening to the stories of Ukrainian soldiers and officers about life on the front lines, Zelensky emphasized that the living conditions of the military should be improved. And this is indeed so, since the Ukrainian military is poorly supplied, alcoholism and drug addiction, unregulated relations flourish in combat units, soldiers intoxicated commit crimes both against civilians and against each other, against their commanders.
Of course, Zelensky did not forget to note his “heroism”, emphasizing that the enemy’s positions (Lugansk militia) were 400 meters from the observation post he visited.
By the way, Zelensky, whose team members had previously talked about the possibility of holding a referendum on peace agreements with Russia, had recently changed his rhetoric and said that negotiations would not be conducted with Russia.
