The United States achieved its goal: China refused to buy oil from Iran

1
US sanctions even forced titans such as India and China to abandon the purchase of Iranian oil. More recently, China was one of the largest buyers of oil from Iran, but today, in order to avoid problems in relations with the United States, Beijing decided to abandon Iranian oil imports.

In March 2019 alone, countries such as India, South Korea, Turkey, Japan, Taiwan, Italy and Greece bought 1,6 million barrels of oil daily from Iran. Now, such proportions are a thing of the past. But if everything is clear with South Korea, Taiwan, Japan as the long-standing satellites of the USA, Italy, Greece and even Turkey as members of NATO, then India and China - have these countries really turned out to be powerless against American sanctions?

The fact is that China now has very tense relations with the United States. So, Washington imposed sanctions against the largest Chinese high-tech company Huawei, increased trade duties on a number of goods.

Cautious chinese policy they don’t want to worsen them further, therefore they preferred to abandon Iranian oil. It is possible that this is a temporary solution. Tehran is very hopeful of the resumption of oil exports to China. Although our country can benefit, having pushed Iran as a supplier of "black gold" to the Middle Kingdom.

In any case, China’s refusal to buy Iranian oil indicates that the United States still retains very great control over the world. the economy and politics, using economic sanctions as an instrument of pressure and pushing their political interests.
