In 10 years, five countries will control the world

Although the importance of aviation and naval forces in military conflicts is extremely high, the ground forces remain the basis of the armed forces of any state. And, most likely, the situation will not change in the next couple of decades.

Having analyzed the potential of various armies of the world, the American military expert Robert Farley, identified five of them that will be the strongest by 2030. These are the armies of India, France, Russia, the USA and China. Of course, one can argue with some of his statements, but there is no doubt that there is a rational grain in his conclusions.

He pointed out the factors that allow any state to create powerful ground forces:

  • a large patriotic population;

  • access to high technologycreated by its own highly developed industry;

  • civil society loyalty to the army;

  • the presence of combat experience.

Building a strong army requires most of these factors to be present.

Indian army

The fact that Farley named the ground forces of India among the strongest armies in the world may seem surprising only at first glance. In fact, the Indian army is already a formidable force, the potential of which has not yet been fully revealed.

Indians had to deal with counter-terrorism operations and riots inside the country. Moreover, for several decades they have been in constant combat readiness in the face of confrontation with Pakistan.

This country has no problems with human resources, because India is one of the most densely populated countries in the world. Although Indian industry produces its own weapons, the country buys the latest models of military equipment from leading manufacturers. Among the supplying countries are the USA, Russia, Israel and many European countries. India not only buys weapons, but also actively participates in its development and production.

French army

At the moment, France has the most powerful army among the countries of the European Union. The country is increasingly taking a leading role in European security issues.

French tanks, artillery and other weapons are supplied not only for their own armed forces, but also willingly bought by other countries.

The French have relatively good combat experience thanks to their participation in peacekeeping operations in African countries and in the international contingent in Afghanistan.

Russian army

Despite the fact that along with the collapse of the Soviet Union, the collapse of the army and the military-industrial complex took place in parallel, Russia managed to reform its armed forces in a relatively short time, creating one of the strongest armies in the world.

She gained combat experience in the North Caucasus, where she managed to overcome the terrorist threat and keep the Chechen Republic within the country. The events of 2008 in South Ossetia, when they quickly and effectively managed to stop the Georgian aggression, showed a high level of combat readiness of the Russian army.

In the Syrian conflict, the Russian army took almost no active part, the main actions were taken by the aviation and navy.

The US Army

For many years, US ground forces served as the benchmark. Many considered the American army the best in the world. But even though the analysis was carried out by an American expert, he did not mention the American army in the first place.

Americans are constantly involved in military conflicts around the globe.

Their combat operations experience is colossal, but most of the conflicts with their participation do not stop for many years, draining the forces of the army. Although America is constantly at war, over the past decades it has not been able to face an adversary of equal strength. And in the event of a clash with Russia or China, many American experts predict a US defeat, although the American army should not be underestimated.

People's Liberation Army of China

The Chinese Ground Forces are the largest army in the world with the most advanced weapons. The growth of its size and military budget worries the United States, Japan and several other countries.

Although the Chinese ground forces do not have real combat experience, this can be successfully compensated by strength and equipment. And the training of personnel in the Chinese army is given great importance.

For any country to feel safe, it must have a modern and combat-ready army. It’s good when there is a strong army. And even better when there is no need to use it.

    The state of the armed forces does not fully relate to the control of certain territories. There must be ambition, interest, and political will. In this, two countries fully correspond - the USA and China. And in ten years the situation will not change. Neither Russia, nor France, nor India (even if developing rapidly) will not be able to compete.

      Does Russia really have no ambitions and political will?

    It is enough for our "rulers" to take by the balls (bills) and children abroad, they will give us up so quickly - that we won't even have time to shout Hurray!

    Somehow weirdly forgot the most powerful NATO army after the United States, having motivation, military experience, etc. - Turkish. Something tells me, if it is specifically and especially about the ground forces that France against the background of the Turks here somehow fades ...
