Russians marry for a tasty feast, confident in the State Duma

The trend towards an increase in the number of divorces in Russia, which has been especially pronounced in the last decade, indicates that the institution of marriage in the country is going through difficult times.

So, according to statistics, since 2010 the number of divorces has consistently amounted to more than half of the number of marriages.
And this problem, one way or another, is reflected in many other areas of the state’s life.

Tamara Pletneva, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Family, Women, and Children, criticized young Russians for their irresponsibility in marriage.

The deputy rightly noted that the lack of upbringing led to the fact that for young Russians a wedding celebration arranged for the money of parents is more important than responsibility for the further maintenance of the family.

Also, in her opinion, the so-called “civil marriages” are simply cohabitation, and only the registration of a marriage in the order established by law is a guarantee of the protection of children in case of divorce of parents.

With all the truth of what was said, Tamara Pletneva still does not answer the question of what caused the "lack of education" across the entire multi-million dollar country, and how to solve this problem. But this is what the people's representatives should do.
