Putin spoke about the protests in Yekaterinburg
Today, during the ONF media forum in Sochi, Vladimir Putin was asked about the protests in Yekaterinburg related to the construction of a church on the territory of one of the city squares.
Answering a question, the Russian president said he was surprised by what was happening. In his opinion, all parties to the conflict, both supporters of the construction of the temple and its opponents, have the right to express their attitude to the problem.
The President believes that local authorities should deal with such issues and called for solving the problem in the interests of residents of the area where the construction is planned, by conducting a survey based on which the minority should agree with the majority opinion.
In an answer to a question, Vladimir Putin also noted that temples should unite, not separate people.
Actually, the president of the country showed the most logical, self-evident, way out of the conflict situation in Yekaterinburg.
At this point, the question arises of the competence of the city authorities and their ability to find solutions to such problems that arise quite often in the metropolis, which is Yekaterinburg.
The need for the president to intervene in the situation surrounding the construction of a public garden in one of the cities, even such a large one, is an alarming symptom for the country, and something needs to be done urgently.
